Old School: you seem quite biblically wise. Give me exact chapter and verse defending your position.

There will be no surprise when you can't.

Yours... a Biblical scholar.

I agree with oldschool that is what the bible says. I think that people should care more about other people and less about animals. I mean instead of giving money to a humane society that will spay and neuter animals which is cruel and not humane( I mean would you like to be spayed or neutered without being asked) and give it to a charity that helps fight aids in Africa or something. All animals are the same pets or not they were made for food...you may call a dog or cat a pet, but in third world countries they are called delicacies. Would you call them cruel when they are starving to death and thats all they have to eat.Genesis 1:30

My father was a preacher so this is the verse I think
Genesis 1:30
And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food." And it was so.

2 The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands.

Genesis 9:3
3 Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything

As God's creatures they all have rights. Pets are protected by the humane society rules and laws against cruelty. Most wild animals are not, unless they are endangered. Most wild animals have legal hunting seasons against them.

God says the animals are ALL created for us to eat.(1 tim. 4:4) and the last time I checked,He is a lot smarter than we are.Animals do not have souls, therefore no rights at all.
