I have lost 5 hamsters and my parents are not letting me get another one. But I love having an animal that will love me and is in my room. I really want my parents to get me another animal. What should I do?

Maybe they will let you have a Guinea pig- they need a little bigger cage, but I think they have a longer life expectancy. Or maybe they will let you get a cat- you can adopt one from a local shelter- shelters usually have lots of cats, and if you get them from a shelter, they are already spayed or neutered

Lost as in they died or lost as in they literally got lost? If you've lost 5 hamsters and you still live with your parents, I would say DONT get another hammy. Obviously there is something wrong.
If you lost them in the HOUSE, I dont blame your parents. I lost my male and female in the house and they had little hammy-babies... Bad bad stuff.
I guess if neither of the two above are the case, then sure, you should fight to get a hammy. But consider getting something a little less stressful. CERTAIN reptiles like box turtles or tortoises :) will catch a mothers heart. I know my Emi has my mom by her little claws(she's a russian tortoise). Another option is fish, hermit crabs, or a bird. I would suggest that the bird be a parakeet as they tame up the best and are the cheapest birds around. They can be darlings, I had one when I was little, he lived to be 7 years old. If you get a bird and want to have it love you you cant have two birds... They bond with whatever is closest to them all the time.

Not get another hamster. If you've lost 5 hamsters already, you're clearly not responsible enough to be taking care of another living creature at this stage of your life. Sorry, but it's the truth. Your parents are right.
Tell them you'll make them a deal: You'll lay off begging for a hamster if they get you a Nintendo Wii instead.

You'll have to prove to your parents that you are mature and responible enough to care for a hamster. Also I suggest saving up your money and buying one of the more expensive cages, so that the hamster has a smaller chance of biting through and escaping then it does from a cheap plastic cage. Also be very careful when you play with your hamster so it doesn't leap from your hands.

Parents dont care about what's cool or in but they do respect moral values. So say you need to learn responsibility and if you loose the next hamster you get you will do chores or buy your own hamster. Parents like to see you work for your stuff, so beeging and puppy eyed aren't going to work here.

maybe you should start out small like a fish and if that works and you show responsibility and then ask them if you could get a hamster and tell them you will take great care of it .

This may sound harsh - but do you really think that a hamster "loves" you, or is it just a novelty? If it's only to keep you occupied, and if you keep allowing them to die or escape (which it appears you do - sorry), then I would have to agree with your parents - you shouldn't have another.

Tell them it's different this time........if that doesn't work ,I don't know what to do..but don't beg. I had to wait a few years to get my dog. But, no offense, but I know why they won't let you get another one: you lost all the others! Sorry.
