How do you do a tail bag for a horse?( not the braided kind)?

i just bought 3 and i'm not exactly sure if theres a certain way to do it.

Most people will either knot the tail or braid the tail loosely up to the end of the tail bone. Then you slip the tail bag over the tail and take the ties and intertwine them at the top of the braid and tie.

I prefer to leave my horses without tail bags because sometimes the weight of the bag when dirty or soiled will cause extra weight on the tail causing the hair to break.

Are you asking how to hang one? I've always washed the tail very well then braided the tail and hung the tail in the bag and worked the strap of the tail bag through the top of the braid.

If there is a way to hang the bag without a braid, I'm unaware of it...You can also braid the tail and roll it up and cover it with vet wrap.
