I found my largest hermit crab earlier today, with what looked like his dead body hanging out of the shell. But once I pulled the skin away, I found that he shed his skin and is now very small and pink within the shell. I'm not sure what to do now, this is the first time that one of my hermit crabs actually did this.

I was wondering if I should take any special measures or what have you, or if this is a replacement for moving into a new shell.

I have had my male ferret for about 2 1/2 years. When I first got him he had a prolapsed rectum and I was feeding him cat food (as directed by the pet store owner, where I bought him from) so my vet told me to switch him to kitten food, so I did and his prolapsed rectum went away. So I have been feeding him the kitten food from then on. My question is, he is very very active but he is a little on the skinny side. Is there something else that I should be feeding him? Also, do you know how long ferrets live? Someone told me only about 5 years. Is that right?

i brought him and i really love him i mean ferrets are adorable but try having one its not easy at ALL..its like having 2dogs,a cat, and a baby .but i love him alot and gave him everything i could attention and care, it sucks cuz i brought him wit my own money n everything was like 400dollars, and now i have to give him away because he is too much i had him for like 2months hes 7months. they never really get potty trained n they sh*t kinda of all over the place and its not a plasent smell..well now i just cant have him,cuz work,im tire of peeking sh*t up and all that u kno?is not like a dog u cant juss leave him alone, all eyes on him n yes i had manyy dogs b4. if i lived on my own i would keep hom no questions asked but my mom is tire of him n preffers a puppy again. so ima give him away to my mom friend who has animals and loves them very much. do u think my ferret will hate me for giving him away??will i be a bad person?plz ans if u understand where im coming from.

I livein Colorado. I found a black widow in one of the offices I clean. She was outside in the entry way. It has been below zero the past day or two, so I was very surprized that she was even still alive. I have her in a jar right now. I wet the paper towel that is in there with her that I caught her on. Not like wet the whole thing, just a spot and I make sure some water is in the bottom of the jar... just drops. But it is winter time! No bugs out... except for her! hahahaha She is a beautiful spider! Didn't know it was a widow until I was trying to catch it, then I seen how black it was and once I got her in the jar I seen the hour glass. Only black widows are THAT black! It is so pretty! Do they hybernate? Aren't they suppose to make a coocoon or something? What do I feed her? I don't think the pet store sells flies! :) Crickets are too big. Is she like a tarantula and able to go a month without food? If any one can help, I would appreciate it!
Thanks!

The babies no longer need her care but I want to keep 2 female babies but I dont want to take a chance on them fighting if they are in the same cage. I would think that being litter mates and their mom...that they will get along.

I've been trying to give answers based on animals, their behaviors,... so on....

But then people thumbs me down and thumbs up the comments that are pretty much like " That's cute! He's being Cute for you! He's just Cute!"

So do you want to hear the TRUTH or do you want to hear some bubbled responce that does not help the animal but manipulates human emotions?

I have a SUPER cute little dog which obviously attracts little kids (or adults) wanting to pet him. but, HE BITES! Usually, when I'm holding him he's fine when someone tries to pet him But after I put him down, he bites their pants and once ripped my friend's pants! my dog bit the mail man, and once, some teenage "CoOl" boys were skateboarding down my street. My dog got out and started chasing after them. (It was funny because the "cool" 13 year olds were screaming and skating and even running for their lives) he is set off by skate boards and bikes, or anything wierd looking when in the dark.Sometimes he is set off by big men. My dog is so cute, but so vicious! what should i do? (he is a chiwawa mixed with manchester terrior and i got him at the pound)

We recently biopsied a growth on my horse's eye, and got SCC as a result. Right now it is considered a stage one cancer and not growing. The vet said that we caught it early enough as well because it is not in the eye, just on it. It is on the white part and on to the cornea (or schlera, if horse eyes have it) about 4 mm.
Has anyone dealt with this? Treatment options (for on the eye) and approx cost, as well as chance of reaccurance? I know we do not have to remove her eye, but I definately want to take it off. My vet is out of town at a clinic gathering some ideas on new procedures, and I thought I would ask around as well.
Oh also- should I be putting her fly mask on every day now for sunlight protection? Do UV rays cause or promote it?
Thanks in advance!

Let's assume you have the space and resources to look after it properly and it doesn't mind being your pet.
