Yes, I have worked with animals for many years and this is the most ideal for them and you. them cause they shouldn't be in drafty places, and cause they are skiddish they like the quiet the glass provides, and for you cause they don't kick all the bedding out and make a mess. don't worry, they will get plenty of ventilation because you use a wire mesh lid.

Glass cages or aquariums are not good for guinea pigs. Not enough air circulates and they will have respiratory issues. Unless it's quite large, an aquarium is not large enough for one guinea pig much less "guinea pigs." The minimum space allowance should be at least 7.5 square feet (or about 30 x 36 inches) per animal.

An easy (and cheap!) large cage cage can be constructed from plastic sign board cut to any size you want and one or two packages of the wire mesh shelving units typically sold for dorm shelving. We've kept ours in such an enclosure for many years. Guinea pigs don't jump or climb, so unless you have cats or some other animal that can get in, they are safe without a top on the cage. Sorry but it's spelt GUINEA PIGS any how I'm not sure both of mine live in a wire cage or hutch as some people call them and they go fine I'd say it wouldn't hurt them just make sure that it's big enough, to have wire on top not glass and not to leave them in the sun. If you don't want a wire one you can always buy plastic ones good luck to you and your future guinea pigs or guinea pigs you have now.

I strongly recomend a wire cage!

Yes you can put a pig in that but I reccomend a wire cage. Ive had about 20 in my lifetime and the vet always reccomends a wire. Your pigs can sometimes get sick from a glass cause it has low ventalation. I wish you good luck!

yes guineau pigs can live in glass cages provided the cages are large enough for the animal. Glass aquariums make good homes. Cover the bottom of the cage with PINE chips, not cedar. You may want to put a cloth in there also. They like to snuggle under the cloth. Remember to keep the cage cleaned, if not the smell will be awful and may make your pet ill. You can hang a water bottle over the side with a special holder.

Its not recomended because of ventilation and room. One piggie needs 4 square feet of room. Most wire cages are to small but are better than glass.

Yes, but since there will be less air flow than a cage, you should be especially good about cleaning out the tank every few days. Otherwise odor can really build up.

Yes just make sure that it has enough ventilation, like having the wire mesh top.

Yes, but i you are even asking this question, then maybe it means that you would rather have a wire cage.
