i have two beautiful seven month old jills and they couldn't be any sweeter if they tried, only problem is that when ever they eat wet food they make this noise that sounds kind of like snotty nose sneezes, its almost like a sticky cough sound. it only ever lasts for about ten / fifteen mins but i'm still worried. is it normal or should i get them look at?

Has anyone else had problems with hamsters from there?

On boxing day my boyfriend got me a black bear female. She only weighted 1/3rd what she was suppose to, was very sick and unhealthy and died this morning. We took her to a vet last night and she stayed there until she passed.

Where is a good place to get a new one? I'm thinking Animal House, how are they?

I will NEVER go to petsmart again. they just treat the animals horribly and selling an animal that was sick was just rude.

Also they have signs saying the hamsters are approved for sale and healthy....that is such a lie or else mine wouldn't have died 4 days later.

She usually does pretty good when I'm working with her, but when I go out in the pasture and just try to love on her, she pins her ears and walks away or swings her rump towards me. I really want to have a partnership with this horse, but that can't happen
until we become friends.

Also, she has lately been refusing to walk forward when I pull on the lead rope. Any suggestions?

I wrote yesterday about a dog in my 4 plex living in terrible conditions. Well I reported it and the Military Police came to our complex, but I made the call anonymously because the dog's owner is someone that I don't get along with anyhow. (she's been out of town though). The MPs said the dog was fine and that they couldn't do anything for it! There is a winter storm advisory for our area and snow is falling. What can I do within my legal rights for this dog? The lady is home as of today, but still has yet to care for the dog. We don't have an onpost humane society. All we have are the Military Police and our housing policy to go by. What can I do for this dog?

I am a veterinary technician, i just graduated in June. I was wondering if anyone else works with animals, and what your job is. I wish i was rich so i could just volunteer at an animal shelter, but i can't because i have to pay the bills. So i was just wondering what other jobs there are out there where i can work with animals in case i want to change jobs in the future.

My little Jingle Belle is losing hair on her tail. She doesn't have any other symptoms of adrenal disease according to "Ferrets for Dummies" (which I highly recommend). She's eating and drinking well, playing like always, etc. Is there something else it could be? If so what other symptoms should I look for? I am scared senseless. I intend to take her to the vet on Tuesday, but I need some advice right now from someone who knows.

PLEASE do not answer if you don't know anything about ferrets!
Thanks in advance and bless you! P~

I have a stray dog who found her way into my yard. She has an eye infection and needs medical attention. I can't financially provide care for her at this moment, and I also have a very possessive, jealous lab-husky mix who is going crazy because this dog is in my yard! She's very sweet and used to people, and I don't want to call the pound because they will put her down before getting her the medical attention that she needs! I've called the local humane society shelters in my area and they all say that they don't accept animals from the public! I don't want her to die but she can't stay here ...

I don't want the horse or tack included. I just want to know the total you would pay a year for vet, farrier, boarding, and feed(if not included in board). I want someone who owns horses to answer this question. I don't want an exact number (since that is impossible) but an approximate. Also please tell me how much you spend on your horse yearly.
