Ahh for real, the hamster dont care, he will sleep if he is tired enuff.
Just dont let the hamster bite your finger.

They are naturally nocturnal (sleep at night) so during the day they get most of their rest. But I always played with mine during the day but gave them time to rest too. I'm sure it can make up sleep when you aren't checking or playing with it.
When they are new and babies they have to be handled with you wearing gloves until they get social and used to you and don't bite. So if it is new you need to play with it a lot so it will learn not to bite.

What do you mean by checking on your hamster? Do you mean waking it up and playing with it? If that's what you're saying I wouldn't bother it TOO much because too much interaction can stress it out and make it sick. Just make sure it gets enough water, exercise, and sleep.

Just be very quiet as you approach the cage but don't touch him while he's sleeping, usually hamsters don;t really care but their instinct will go wild if you touch it and stuff while it's a sleep.No one likes to be bothered when they are asleep!!

i would think so. he will keep looking up wondering who is there & will keep wondering when you are coming back or what it is that keeps sneaking up. you might even scare him. dont check on him unless he is sick or something. he should be fine during the night.

hamsters sleep during the day, all you do is wake him, i don't think they care.

They need their sleep so only check on him ( Touch him ) when he is awake.
