My Pom had an emergency c-section on the 27th and wants nothing to do with her one baby who made it through the surgery. She wont feed, warm, or clean her. Heck she wont even go near her. Is there any things I can do to trigger her maternal instinct?

I had two hamsters about 5 years ago, that both died in the same cage (at different times). I put the cage away in the garage, and it got all rust and old, so when I decided to get a new hamster the other day I decided to get a new cage. But the items in the old cage, like the plastic exercise wheel and hamster igloo are all fine, just really dusty with lot's of spider webs. I want to use them in the new cage for my new hamster but I'm wondering if they will be safe for my hamster? I have soaked them in boiling water with soap for about an hour. Are they okay to use now, or could they still have germs on them even if I cleaned them?

I am thinking about getting a bunny for my daughter, she is 6 years old and we do have cats already. She is able to handle animals well (knows to be gentle blah blah blah) I know also that I will be the one to be most responsible for the care (as far as making sure it is taken care of, she will have chores related to the care but I understand it is ultimately on me) I am looking for adive from people that have bunnies and kids (maybe even a cat or 2) on the kinds of bunnies to get, how old should they be, where is a good place to get them (not a huge fan of petstores to buy animals from but I am not sure about bunnies) also what kinds of things I would want to get for the bunny ( I know about the cage and everything but again things that bunny owners find helpful to have) food and things like that I know a little about but (I honestly dont know that much about pet bunnies, except that so far I really like them) thank you very much for your help

Adopting animals isn't an option because of my living circumstances but i was interested in helping out at an animal shelter. I work feeding and cleaning crates at a dog kennel so i'm used to being around a lot of animals but i wish i could do more to help. I am only 16 though, would the shelters still be willing to supply me with work?

I bought two baby Guinea pigs and let the Petco employer tell me all that was necessary. Now when I am home and reading about my two babies I see that they are strict vegetarians. But the food the employer gave me was pellets for Guinea pigs and a bag of Ferret food. She said to mix the two. Is that right? The Ferret food is full of non veggie items - I'm so confused...

Could it be made by the babies with her teeths

I had McDonald's before, and I have some left over fries. Is it okay to give some to my hamster? Because it's the perfect size to go into the cage and they are good for her to nibble on. It will be so cute!

Horses have eaten lots of their wheat straw bedding due to being left in for the day. One was considerably sweaty and the other hadn't drunk much water at all. What should i do?? How can i prevent it??

I mean how many pet owners actually read the ingredient labels (although they are misleading).
How many pet owners contact manufacturers and ask them about the ingredients?
My guess is very few.
