remove the male if have any in the cage, try to leave her alone in a quiet and probably a dark area, too much noise and exposure and overwhlem reaction from humans will gives her stress and she may in end eats up her babies.

Check on her reguarly but do give her ample own free time quiet space.

NOOO! omg people you do not touch the babies, she will for sure kill it the right thing to do is take the male out and leave her alone. trust me i went through this whole ordeal and she might eat a baby because she may think there is something wrong with it like for example one of mine had a purple leg and it was gone. things like that but if she is alone and its quiet she should be okay. also if you have a wheel in the cage my female hamster would go on the wheel in between having her babies so take the wheel out if she gets distracted. lol well have fun with that its a fun expierence but seriously, dont touch the little thing.

Yes, they will care for them on their own. Except when one of mine was a "first-time mom" she ended up eating all the babies, so keep an eye on her for awhile. Also, make sure that there isn't any other hamsters in the cage with her.

Give her as much privacy as possible and whatever you do, don't ever touch the baby with your fingers.

this is to prevent the baby from having your scent/smell, so that the parent will not think it doesn't belong to her or under threat and hence kill it.

don't do anything, if she is pregnant she will care for her babies on her own. i've had a pregnant hamster and she had 9 babies! she cared and nurtured for them on her own so i didn't have to do anything really to help her out. =)

As long as you dont have the male in there . I think I would take the one out when the other one is born just to be safe . Also we had them and the male ate them when they were born .
