Yes, mammals mensturate. If you have a cat or a dog who isn't spayed, she'll go into heat. Usually, what little blood exists is licked up by the critter, but there may be a few droplets here and there you may notice on rugs or carpeting. At this time, the animal tries really hard to get somewhere where she can get pregnant--it's all instinct. My cat actually ripped through a screen and jumped down two stories before I got her spayed to try to get pregnant. She hasn't attempted anything like that since.

Yes, female animals go through what is called "heat cycles". It's the closet thing to menstruation that most animals can get.
But, some primates DO actually menstruate!

They go in "heat". Dogs go in heat about every 6 months for about 3 weeks. Cats, however, are constantly in heat. Big problem!!! They can have a litter and go right back in heat again. One female can have 100s of babies in lifetime.

Yes, it is different from women, but both cats and dogs bleed, but when they are in heat, which is too late. You need to get them neutered or spayed before then, if not, keep them inside until you can get them to the vet!!!

Yep,when I was a kid,my neighbor had an all white husky, she had to put diapers on her and cut a hole for her tail. I think it was like every 3 months or so. Not sure if it's all breeds or not though.

Dogs bleed before they come into heat-they are actually most fertile right after the bleeding stops.
