he can drink from a bowl, but he'll also go poo in it, push his bedding in it, dump it over and make a general mess.
The bottle is a more sanitary way to supply water

Its best to get a water bottle. It may be more expensive but it will be worth it. The hamster may poop or pee in it, knock it over, splash in it, and other things that come to its head. If you have an aquarium and it seems impossible to use a water bottle, got to petsmart or petco and ask for a water bottle for aquariums. they will have them. If it is a wire cage, get a regular water bottle with hooks. Hope I could help and have fun with the hamster! :)

He could drink out of a bowl, but it would be all over the place and he might bathe in it...and then do his business in it and still take drinks from it. I think one of those special hamster waterbottles would work jsut fine....since they are made for hamsters!

he can drink out of a bowl if u want to refill his water everyday because of the mess. its a lot cleaner if u use a bottle.

preferably buy a bottle so that there won't be any germs - in a bowl germ easily can go in it . - also change its water every day
