PETA is an animal rights organization, meaning that in addition to focusing on animal welfare and protection issues, it rejects the idea of animals as property, and opposes all forms of speciesism, animal testing, meat eating, factory farming, and hunting, as well as the use of animals in entertainment or as clothing, furniture, or decoration.

OMGSH!! PETA WAS SOOOO STUPID!! You know what they did? A church was having this live play thingy in Virginia, about Christmas and stuff... Well PETA thought they were using live animals (for sacrifices...that kind of crap) for their play... Well so they just BARGED in the church, like try to kill everyone in there... but then it ends up that the church didn't use any live animals at all... just stuffed ones.. They didn't even use a live baby!! Just a doll!! PETA jumps to conclusions!! OMGSH! LoL

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA):
I think PETA stands for crazy stupid people. They get so many cats and dogs AND they KILL THEM, they have killed so so many dogs and cats that it is inhumane.

I am a huge animal rights advocate. I fight for animals. I also rescue, and I am a veggie. I like some things that PETA does, but otherwise they are crazy and stupid, and I wish they could be closed down.

i am a huge animal lover and cant resist a furry, scaly, or slimy face out there (in fact i gently escort bugs out of my house rather than smashing and flushing them), but, in my (humble) opinion, PETA and its literature is pretty much propaganda with little factual value, i came to this assertion after reading an article on their web page that claimed KFC makes its factory employees wear diapers to cut down on bathroom breaks.... i mean really... does anyone actually believe that?

Once upon a time a good group who have been overrun by idiots who think no one should own pets.
They may have started with s good idea at one time but now they are radicals who will do anything to get what they want regardless of the cost to others.

Some of PETA's goals and objectives are admirable; but, they've become too politicized.

Their hearts are in the right place but they go WAAAY overboard. The worst part is that they give other animal lovers/animal rights supporters a bad name, because all the press is negative.

PETA is a non-profit organization. "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals."
Actually, that's not my opinion it's factual. They're effective at raising awareness for the cause of the humane treatment of animals.

I think it's an organization that goes way overboard. I'm all for protecting animals but some of the stuff they do is ridiculous.
