what do you think the final vet bill will be when barbaro is fully recovered?

New Bolton (where Barbaro receives his care) is a premier equine veterinary facility. Given that arthrodesis (the fusing 2 bones in any diseased joint) is upwards of $10 grand alone, and most clinics charge $250+ per day for clinic stays, I'd say Barbaro's vet bills should max out well over $100k.

For a horse that would've been worth around $40 million, if he won the Preakness, it's a drop in the bucket. Plus, the owners had insurance, so I'm sure they're sparing no expense.

I'm sure the figures are published somewhere.

depends on what was done. Sounds like you need to add detail to your question so we know what your animal has done
