Most of the time, they make this hissing sound when engaging in play. I had two that would run up to one another and try to back the other one up, all the while making hissing sounds. Was quite fun to watch actually. It's nothing to worry about. It's normal....just as cats hiss. Very normal.

Hissing- A hissing ferret may well be an unhappy or indignant ferret. consistently use warning in attempting to %. up a ferret who's backing away and hissing. you're able to desire to get bitten. Ferrets often hiss to coach worry or anger. even though if, ferrets can now and lower back hiss while enticing in play with one yet another. in the adventure that your ferret hisses whilst exhibiting an arched back and "bristled" fur, basically talk softly on your ferret and go away your ferret by myself. she or he isn't a satisfied ferret and might desire to chew. in undemanding terms %. up your ferret after she or he has calmed down.

A hissing ferret can be an unhappy or angry ferret. Always use caution in trying to pick up a ferret who is backing away and hissing. You could get bitten. Ferrets usually hiss to show fear or anger. However, ferrets can sometimes hiss when engaging in play with one another. If your ferret hisses while displaying an arched back and "bristled" fur, just speak softly to your ferret and leave your ferret alone. He or she is not a happy ferret and could bite. Only pick up your ferret after he or she has calmed down

If it's constant and loud, then get it checked out by a vet. Otherwise, it's probably just playing around (They are extremely playful creatures, as you probably know). There is a possibility that it's upset, so just pay more attention to it when it hisses. I doubt you have anything to worry about.

I know mine use to make a ka, ka, ka sound like it was laughing or giggling. If this is the sound yes it's normal and it's when they are having fun. Not sure about a hissing noise.

My ferrets do this when they are frustrated. It's usually a sign of frustration or annoyance.

Nothing to worry about though :)
