I've wanted a horse for 7 years. But it seems like it'll never happen. I'm trying content with my dogs, and my cat but it's so hard to settle with less then what you've wanted all your life. No, I'm not a spoiled little rich girl but i can't help it. All I want to do is get my own horse.
I'm 12 years old, how can I save up money, and how can I keep it, meaning convince myself when I want to buy something to save that money for the horse?
Thanks
And please don't say, Talk to your parents. It's no use.

I take lessons and I fell off my horse just because we were galloping and he triped on his feet and I fell up his neck infroont of him and his nose hit the ground but he did'nt fall. My trainer calls it thr circus move. Well I stared riding in september. I go over poles on the ground but im perfect at everything except my canter. Does anyone have any ideas to help me pick up my canter. Because she say they wont go over poles unless your going fast.

When we got hit by the ice storm, a chicken found it's way into my apartment building. It's actually a multicolered chicken and is quite beautiful. I've waited for signs to go up in my neighborhood in case it's someone's pet, but haven't seen anything or heard anything. By the way, the Humane Society won't bother with it. Any ideas?

I know that there was a very similar topic earlier, but it didn't help.
I already have a dog (3 yrs) and we do go away for our 1 week summer vacation every year in the summer, and my mom and dad say that ferrets smell, nobody in the neighborhood will take care of it while we are gone, and the dog might not like a ferret and try to eat it. As you can see by my name, I want to be a vet when I get older and one of the reasons why I want a ferret is for the experience. I also want to become more responsible while owning one. Any ideas?
I saved $150 for the ferret + supplies...

If u are going to let it roam around outside , unattended, then expect to deal w/the grief of what could happen to it; if u dont have the patience to be raising a puppy (which will chew), then dont get one in the first place. If u feel your animal is just a toy, and not like your family,,,,,then go buy a stuffed animal. Is anyone on the same page here w/me??? And for goodness sakes, stop giving puppies for gifts; do u have a clue what happens to a pup every time its moved??

We just got an African Grey Parrot who at its previous home had dogs. We brought the bird home and it started eating and playing with its toys. Then we lets the dogs out. Our Jack Russell Terrier and our Bulldog. The Bulldog could care less. But our Jack Russell wants to eat it. The bird is not scared and just goes to the bottom of the cage and nips her nose. Whenever she looks we say no and when she puts her paws on the cage we spank her butt. Though the Jack Russell will not learn. We really want the parrot and the dogs to be friends. But for The Jack Russell it seems like an imposible task. We were thinking about getting a watergun and whenever she looks at the cage we squirt her with it. But we think that she might enjoy that. We really need help. What do we do to make the dog stop wanting to eat the parrot?

I was given a horse 3 weeks ago. Someone that had her did not feed her and she is starved with ribs showing. She is the sweetest horse. Supposed to be 6 years old with papers through the quarter horse association, but all I know is that the former owner called her Missy. She doesn't seem to answer to it, but she's been put up in a stable for I don't know how long with very little contact with humans I'm sure.

She is now wondering around on 5 acres of land and loving it. I don't like the name Missy. I have a niece, Melissa that we call Missy. I think she deserves a better name. I haven't come up with anything that really appeals to me.

I thought about Miss Julie, Miss Scarlett, and Miss Caroline. These were names that came to mind and sounded kind of like Missy.

I'm open for suggestions. I thought by now that something would really hit me. I'd be glad to hear any of your ideas. I really like names that are different, but I'm stumped. Any ideas would be helpful.
