If u are going to let it roam around outside , unattended, then expect to deal w/the grief of what could happen to it; if u dont have the patience to be raising a puppy (which will chew), then dont get one in the first place. If u feel your animal is just a toy, and not like your family,,,,,then go buy a stuffed animal. Is anyone on the same page here w/me??? And for goodness sakes, stop giving puppies for gifts; do u have a clue what happens to a pup every time its moved??

well i agree with you and how about the ones that keep breeding their dogs for profit and they have sold about 500 puppies . They are the ones that make me sick. And to that person who said we dont need to be worried about what other people do ? Well when people keep breeding their dogs over and over again it effects us all dear cause our taxes are going to keep animal control going so therefore it does effect us all. good luck and god bless and happy holidays.

...and let's not forget all the people breeding their dogs & asking questions AFTER breeding they should have researched & known beforehand. 'How long will my dog be pregnant?' etc. Scary. No clue about genetic problems (hip dyplasia, progressive retinal atrophy) they SHOULD have tested that breed for, no idea if their dog looks one bit like what the breed standard says it should (i.e. breeding quality), no concern or care that it may have complications (need a c-section, refuse to care for it's pups) etc. Just blindly breeding because they think their dog is cute, their friends want one (just wait till they back out when the pups are 8 weeks old) & they are going to make some extra money (HA! One vet I worked for used to tell people they would be better off to get a 2nd part-time job at McDonalds than breed dogs - it is such a money-losing venture). The saddest part is they are dealing with living creatures that will suffer for their ignorance - most backyard bred pups will be surrendered to shelters & euthanized before they see a 3rd birthday, as they are bought by equally ignorant people who do no research to see if it fits their lifestyle before they buy. Then when it sheds too much, is too hyper, nips the kids, etc - to the shelter it goes. Sigh.

Yeah --- I'm on the same page!! And while we are at it --- get all your pets neutered or spayed --- do you know how many pets are euthanized in your city??? If you want a pet, check out your local humane shelter and rescue an animal that is headed for the chamber!!

Wow, I sense some anger. You'll never get by in life worrying about what other people do, that is unless your life is perfect with no problems.
