Yep I have two horses and no trailer. I'm just not at the point I can afford it right now. I live in Central IL, so depending on where you live and cost of gas the transport price will vary.
My vet lives 30 miles away and charges $40 for a barn call. A local transport service charges me $50 for 25-30 mile round trip (like going camping or shows etc) $75 for 50 miles. I haven't been on a longer trip so unsure.
I've found if you don't have a trailer you really need to network. I started at my feed store and asked around. I got a few names and just started calling. You will eventually find someone. The BEST thing is if you have a neighbor or a friend who can haul for you.
Good luck! It can be frustrating at times but it can be done!

Yes, I owned a horse for 5 years and never owned a trailer or even a truck for that matter! I carried my gear in the back seat of my car! LOL! I often paid someone to move my horse if needed or once I got married my husband's aunt owned a trailer and I could ask her to do it for free.

When I got my first horse I did not have a trailer.
I used to pay one of the people who had one about $25 or so to transport the hose for me. It depends on how far and how long it takes the person to move the horse for you.
I only moved him once and once to a clinic the rest of the time we rode most everywhere he went.

I have a trailer now but didnt used to....
I used to board at a big stable so their was always somebody with a trailer going to the same show who would haul for you (generally $40-$100, but that was a few years back)
I guess also it depends where you are.. like Argentina? Austria? Australia?

Yes I own a horse. But instead of taking my horse to the vet, farrier, etc..... We call them and they come to us. This is only because we don't have a horse trailer and we are saving up money to but one,

Yes, but he is boarded somewhere else. I used to show my horse, and my trainer charged about 50 cents a mile, but that would vary depending on where you are going, where you live, and how much the hauler charges.
