I know 2 people who keep angelfish successfully in a community tank. I would really like one but worried it may eat neons. Does buying a young angel avoid this or is it too risky?

My ryukin adores peas, and I love giving him them but I dont know how often I should give him treats. I dont want him to become overweight or have nothing but "snack" food. How often can I give him special food and treats (tubifex worms, romaine lettuce, peas, cucumber...etc..) and what sorts of foods to fantails usually like...no "junkfood" plz:)

I have never really thought about it until today. My friend saw my six 6" Silver Dollars and my two 8" Albino Oscars and asked me am I building them up to be on my dinner plate. Piranha are hunted for food, Silver Dollars are very much like Piranha and would probably taste the same. I know for a fact that Pacu is on the menu in some restaurants, and at least I know what my fish are eating. But the question is ' Would you do it???'

Tropical fish; you'd recommend for a 10-15 gal. tank? Besides guppies.

I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm spazzing... but, I almost am.

I've had a guppy tank for about a month; and as far as I knew it was pretty cycled before I added fish. I had 4 adult fancy guppies (2 females and 2 males) in a 5 gallon aquarium, which I'll be upgrading soon.
After a weekend gone and unable to feed them, I came back to find both males dead. The females were very pregnant and the next day, one had babies. A few days later the other one did as well. However... on my blue and orange one, I noticed a red-ish stain around her abdomen (her butt area, I guess.) It definantly didn't look normal... but she was acting fine. It seemed to get a little bigger and I noticed it slightly around the gills. Then, my second female got it and died that night (yesterday.) The blue and orange slowly began to die so I euthanized her.

Now, I'm very nervous for the lives of the remaining fish. SOMETHING happened and is in the water... though its very hard to tell what. How do I fix it?

I want to make my tank "super healthy". Right now I do about 20% water changes weekly with a gravel vac. I'm thinking about 10% the other 6 days per week. Not vacuuming the gravel, just removing 10% of the water and replacing it.
The water is clear and the fish are healthy, but I want to go beyond just the minimum.
Will this help? Hurt?

I have an outdoor pond in my garden where I grow 10 goldfish, around 60 nishigikois and 10 freshwater snails. The pond is oxiginated and filtered but not heated. Anyways, today I noticed around 5-7 small larvae laying on the rocks in the water. They were white with rose-red patches on their back. They don't swim, but curl on the rocks; each was around 1 cm in length. The question is... what are they?? are they hamful?? could they be young snails with no shells yet?? or maybe they came with the bloodworms I feed the fish?? or with the plants?? How can I know?? and how can I treat them if they were harmful to the fish or the snails.
please help

I just started a freshwater tank and I want to put a male betta in. Everyone I know is like "oh, don't it will kill everything" but most pet stores say it's peaceful as long as it isn't pair with another male betta or don't pair them with any other fish. I have two questions actually the first, is to people who have put bettas with other fish and I wanted to know how it turned out?

I'm not worried about the other fish because I know bettas are actually peaceful and can get along with other fish, it's the betta I'm worried about, because I know other fish have been known to eat their fins, so I guess what's better for the betta putting it in a community tank (my tank has all peaceful community fish no semi or aggressive fish) or just leaving them all by themselves?
