i was looking at fish tanks and found one is it a good deal ?

it is 31 gallons with accessories and stand with a really good filter (the filter alone was marked for $130.00) for $500.00 tax included.

i live in Canada

i just dont want to be ripped off and i dont want too cheap out on it the guy told it was very good quality he showed me the filters and everything the cabinet that comes with it is worth around $130.

i found a store that deals with fish only and found a 55 gallon tank with everything ( filter stand gravel background heater canopy plants and a sunken ship for $700.if i bought the 30 gallon it would of come out to just over $600 with everything.it pays to shop around !i really wanted 55 gallon but could not afford it at the other store. thanks for the input.

$500 seems high for a 30 gal tank---You don't need a $130 gal filter for a tank this size For $500 you should be able to get a 55 gal tank complete-----Does the 30 come with a stand that is like a nice piece of furniture if so that is why the price is so high

No undesirable deal...... a ten gallon tank new is anywere from 7 to 10 dollars in lots of circumstances. The reflects are decrease priced too. You couls get 3 10 gallon tanks with reflects for 40 dollars at a keep. Even chain shops.

I paid for my 30 gallon kit ( included filter, heater, some gravel, hood with lights) $120.-
I bought the stand a bit later and paid for it $100.-

So yes, $500.- is way to over priced

Really depends on how much are you willing to spend. I really don't think there's huge difference in prices anyway. Maybe just with the quality of filters, lightings etc.
