Anything in chapter 1, 2 or 3. Especially those with a hardiness of A or AA.
If you get a 15, keep in mind the hood, stand etc are the same size as a 20 high. Go for the 20 high, you will not spend much more for it. If you are thinking 10, look at Wal-Mart, they have a 14 for the price most people sell a 10.

a great starter fish may well be a betta. they're very appealing hardy fish. they are in a position to stay in smaller tanks and are not as grimy as different the different fish. they do no longer unavoidably choose a filter out or a heater or oxygenation. they're frequently fit and happier with those products yet can stay to tell the tale nicely without them. in case you do no longer use a filter out you should exchange approximately fifty % of the water each 2 weeks. With a filter out approximately 30 % each 2 weeks. a solid length tank is a 5 gallon tank and that i does no longer is going under a gallon even nevertheless the shops sell many small bowls and tanks. to maintain a betta can value as low as 20 money a twelve months for water therapy and nutrition. in case you have a filter out it is going to likely be extra. usual Betta fish are very low value and correct for a usual timer like your self. solid success!

A school or two of bright fish would look great! You could try some danios, neon tetras, or even cherry barbs. It would also be possible to purchase one dwarf gourami and have several smaller (like the above mentioned) fish as well.

Dwarf gouramis are great! [i think] they're colorful, and really cute! you could also add a couple small catfish.(maybe a pair of gouramis and 2 0r 3 small catfish?) make sure you research the species of fish before getting them!
