For the Baby BiOrb do they sell a volcanoe attachment for the tube. I went on their website and they only showed the volcanoe attachement for the bigger ones. Will they make one for the baby biorb?

I have 3 goldfish in th same tank. I am VERY careful about overfeeding/underfeeding, after losing a goldfish to swim bladder. After replacing that fish, our oldest one is suffering these sicknesses:

Dropsy
Pop eye
Swim bladder (sinking)

We have a tablet we put in the fishtank, and it is said to prevent these deseases, but it is not working for that fish. He is also the oldest and it makes that worse because all we need is old age to make this worse! We have a larger tank that we are going to move him to. All we have involving fish cures are tablets that help the deseases a little and freshwater salt. We need more. If you know the cures to any of thoese deseases, please tell me, because I love my animals and I am hoping the last time that my fish had swim bladder will help me this time!! Thank you for any cures, or tips on handleing this!!

I'm planning to have a goldfish in there, but I want another fish that can eat mosquitoes. I don't want any koi. Are there any others besides the mosquito eating fish and goldfish?

I have a fairly big tank maybe 75 gallons or so, maybe more. Its 4 ft long. I have a lot of rocks and plants in it. I have about 7 african cichlids. They are anywhere from 2 to 5 inches in size. I've been thinking about putting up one of those fake backgrounds behind the tank that way you dont see straight through to the wall. I have a lot of money put into my tank between all the fish and big rocks. Do you think that will make my aquarium look cheap or tacky?

I have 2 white and 2 black & white convicts. The black & whites had babies once. One of the white ones spent all his time being aggressive towards the pair. As the fry got bigger, he managed to dominate the black & white male. Now the female has new babies inside of a skull in the tank, where she spends most all of her time. I have been so mad at the white convict, because he hovers around all the time. I thought he was giving her a hard time. It occurred to me this morning that maybe he is the father, and that is why he is hovering... He never leaves the area, and behaves just as the black & white did last time. Is this likely what is happening? If so I feel bad for my ill will toward him!

I keep and breed mollies and other livebearers. Also i had a pair of mollies, Michelle(female, I named her that for some weird reasons) and Sliver. It was not long after they mated and I took Silver out to mate with other girls. But it seems that the once active and playful Michelle now sulk in a corner, missing her mate.Same goes to Silver who never eats any more and does not want to mate with other females. Is there any powerful bond between livebearers or it's just coincidence???

Back in June, I was delighted to see that I had baby fish in my pond. I went on the BBC Nature Messageboards to report this great event but many of the comments that came back warned me of overcrowding, more and more babies year after year etc. I suggested nature may take its course (baby fish must have predators) but no one seemed to think anything would nab my baby fish and that the following summer I too would be pulling out my hair as my pond become more and more packed with fish.
My pond is a modest sized wildlife pond. about 10ft x 15ft and only about 2 an a half ft deep, recently I saw a Kingfisher sitting on the stool I sit on when pond watching and now my baby fish have all but vanished! Would a Kingfisher be able to fish in such shallow waters? I have also seen a water shrew (but not since the spring) and know we have a nest of rats close by because my cat keeps catching the babies. Anyone out there know who or what is the most likely culprit?

I'm cleaning out my tank it's 10gal.
I stired up the rocks (since I don't have a sifon) so it will go thru the filter.
Took out the rocks and have washed them with water then rinsed them in a bowl with an Alge & Baccteria tablet then rerinsed them in water again for good measure.
I going to keep rinsing out the filter cartridge untill the water gets clear again, then put in a new cartridge.
I also put in the tank an Alge & Baccteria tablet.
My water was very clear untill about a day ago, I guess it got extra dirty from the Food discs I put in it when I went away for a week.
How long does it take for the water to clear back up from black to clear?
And whats the best way to clean a tank?
My fish are very healthy, I hope this don't harm them.
