Definitely! That is way better than those little bowls or 1 gallon tanks, and your betta will be proof. He will be more active and more colourful, and he'll live longer.
You can keep a few other fish with your betta if you want, just no other bettas (not even females) or other fish with long fins, such as guppies.
You could, though, keep a school of 6 harlequin rasboras, or neon tetras.

Don't forget to cycle your tank before putting fish in :)

A betta will thrive in a 10 gallon aquarium.
Make sure he is the only one, not even other females. I have used 10 gallon aquariums to introduce females to males to prepare for breeding by using a breeder net suspended in the tank where as the two fish can interact without risk of injury.

Make sure your filter intakes are "betta safe", meaning no strong intakes on an HOB filter. If so place a Pre-Filter on the intake or better, use sponge filters (which is what I do in betta tanks).
You should also be able to control your water parameters better in the 10 gallon tank rather than a bowl, most importantly ammonia and kH.

yes the betta can live in a 10 g. just make sure you dont put males together and make sure you have a filter thats made for a 10g because if its more powerful it can cause the fish to be swished around to much. your betta will be happy! just remember to do the water changes and make sure you put the same temp water back in the tank. good luck!

Absolutely! It's not enough space for multiple bettas, but most bettas will do just fine with peaceful community fish like small tetras, rasboras, or platies. Avoid gouramis and other labyrinth fish, as well as guppies or any other fish with long, flowing fins. Be sure not to overstock your tank because crowded territory will cause more aggression, not to mention creating poor water conditions.

Yes, remember that fishes live longer in bigger tanks with more stuff to play with like rocks.

Yes.One male betta & perhaps a couple of females as long as
the "girls" have sufficient cover to allow them to get away from
their "amorous" male partner.
Also make certain that there's enough clearance between the tank walls & any filter stems, air lines, etc.to prevent them from
getting trapped & drowning.
Lost several male bettas this way.Don't know why,but it is a real
bad habit of their's.

I believ so, the problem with betta, is their aggresion, thats why thery are aleays sepratly, I think its males and males that fight, but I would double check before mixing ny of them together.

Yes, but don't put more than one male in, or they'll fight. And if you add females, make sure there's plenty of foliage for them to hide in or the male will pester them constantly.
