I have a litter and I need some good names! Some are the typical sandy/orange color and a couple are tri-color (black, tan, and white)
I don't like human names! I love different, fun and silly names!
Keep em coming!!!

I have sent him numerous articles on how bad it is.Yes Purina one is not the worst you can feed your dog. But why not buy better food? Exspecially once you know that there are better foods out there.

We rescued this chihuahua puppy- at 8 weeks she was 1 1/2LBS
and at 9 weeks she was 2Lbs. The vets say she will be small, stay small, but i was just curious on how BIG she might get. I know it depends on the mother and father also, but we have no information on them. THANKS for your help!

I feel so upset by what I'm about to tell you. I don't take my dog to be groomed very often, only about twice a year. My dog is very small, he is a pomeranian, so he has lots of hair and when it gets hot I like to have him groomed. I took him to a very well known pet supply chain. The guy that groomed him cut him and didn't say a word about it. I picked him up and took him home. I noticed he was acting strange, he kept shaking and cleaning the same spot and he would yelp when he was picked up. I finally checked him over and when I more closely examined him by moving his thick hair around, I noticed a huge laceration with meat showing! I was shocked and rushed him to my vet and it required 7 stitches to close the wound! I was so upset and shaking, that someone would do this and try to cover it up. My vet thinks they might have tried to use liquide bandage to close part of it which was useless on this size wound.

My female dog was spayed Friday. I picked her up today and she seemed fine, happy to see us. After returning home I started thinking about pain meds for her. The dr. never gave me any. Is this normal? She had surgery. There should be some pain.

I'm planning on owning a Chihuahua (toy-sized preferably).
I looked at this one store yesterday and this morning by my area (called Pet Paradise). Got weird feelings when I first entered, long story short.. I researched this morning and found out that THAT store was held up with many complaints and law suits about their pups and dogs being sold sick. And saw at RipOffReport.com the many complaints about the business.
There was this one puppy (Chihuahua at 2 months old) that I fell in love with! I'd purchase her, but she was $1600 (and plus I was only 'looking around' for the time being) and after my research I don't think I'd go there again..

I just want to know what can I look for or what I should keep an eye on when buying or adopting my FIRST puppy.
Some PRO's/CON's, what they SHOULD look like, WHERE'S the best place to buy one, what's kinds of documentations to look for, etc etc..

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

I have done everything including buying these blue things at walmart for the dog to wet on. They look like incontinence pads. Nothing works. I would like to clean up the utility room and put some nice throw rugs down, but if I do the dog will wet on the rugs while I am at work. Any suggestions how to get her to stop?

I live in Mpls and a pitbull killed a 7 year old boy, got him around the throat. I DO NOT blame the dog. He was chained up in the basement to a pole and it was a female with puppies.....what is wrong with these people!!!! Im very fearful for this breed cuz all of the stupid people who think its ok to own an aggressive breed dpg without proper socoalization and training......frustrated!!!

We have a full bred Boxer female, she is AKC an all. My husband wants to breed her when she is old enough. She is only 7 months old now and I am trying to convince him that this is a bad decission for us to try and breed her. I look at her as my baby and I just cant imagine her being a puppy making machine. I cant imagine having to see all the little pups and then having to sell them off wondering what type of homes they are going to. He seems to be convinced since we bought a full bred papered dog we should breed her. I just wanted a Boxer, I guess he had other plans. Can anyone please give me info on a website that gives facts about dog breeding and how much it will cost in the long run for me to convince him otherwise.

A few years ago, like about 3 or 4 years ago, my dog ate an entire box of chocolates, like a HUGE box of them... and he lived.. he wasnt even the least bit sick. How is this possible? I thought dogs died if they ate chocolate.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070818/ap_en_ce/dog_mauling_actor

What will people think if the man died of natural causes and he has these superficial marks/wounds from the dogs? Perhaps the dogs were trying to revive him? Pulling him? Move him? Here this article came out - in the wake of he who shall not be named - and everyone jumped to the conclusion - FIRST AND FOREMOST the media - by using the term "mauled" - and now it turns out that probably isn't the case.

To those of you who jump to conclusions regarding bigger breeds, or supposedly dangerous breed (eg pits) will this news (which is not front page news by the way) make you think twice before simply assuming that the media is telling the truth and not being sensationalistic? Will this now make people think more carefully before simply believing stories like this?
