It has been over 100 degrees all week. Would it be ok to put ice in the dogs water outside?

Sure you can!! I do everyday!!! You can also freeze a half gallon or gallon jug of water & cut the plastic away & put that big chunck of ice in his water if his bowl is big enough!!! Your dog might also like a hard plastic kiddie pool full of water to get into & cool off!!!

Yeah, my dogs love ice, it is a great treat too. Although if it is over 100 degrees you may want to consider bringing the dog in during the heat of the day. At the very least make sure he always has water (with ice. :) and plenty of shade.

Yah, that way the water will stay cool for a while and will help keep the dog from getting over heated. Hot weather can be deadly to pets and it's best to make sure the animals have plenty of water and shade to keep them comfortable. Another thing you could do is get a kiddy pool and fill it with a little water so the dog can play in it to keep himself cool. Good luck

That is fine...but if your dog is overly exhausted...or extremly over heated...you don't want them to guzzle a bunch of ice water...you know the feeling you get when you eat something VERY cold? But the dog would love a few cubes on an average day!

Heck yes put ice cubes in their water!!! You like a cold drink don't you? Heck yes!
Also, some dogs like to "play" with the ice cubes themselves, I know mine do. Just throw some down on the patio and watch them go!

ABSOLUTELY!!!
and if you have an old cooler...fill it with the water and ice instead of a bowl this keeps the water cool longer.
