What will people think if the man died of natural causes and he has these superficial marks/wounds from the dogs? Perhaps the dogs were trying to revive him? Pulling him? Move him? Here this article came out - in the wake of he who shall not be named - and everyone jumped to the conclusion - FIRST AND FOREMOST the media - by using the term "mauled" - and now it turns out that probably isn't the case.
To those of you who jump to conclusions regarding bigger breeds, or supposedly dangerous breed (eg pits) will this news (which is not front page news by the way) make you think twice before simply assuming that the media is telling the truth and not being sensationalistic? Will this now make people think more carefully before simply believing stories like this?

Oh greekman - I just am hoping that maybe I will reach ONE. Just one person that maybe will realize that the media is all about hype and sensationalism. Maybe? Maybe? Please oh please??
I just want people to realize, when they read a story like this, to know that there is always MORE to the story than what you are told. In the back of my mind I wondered, maybe the guy died and the dogs were "pulling/tugging" on him. If we can just open people's eyes up a little bit - just to make them THINK - before jumping to conclusions that would be great.

I didn't call you stupid Jose L. I simply said your email address was I_am_a_stupid_backyard_breeder
And if you were so offended - why did you add me as a contact - and why am I your ONLY contact. Your answer doesn't have anything to do with my question - but thanks for stopping by and proving me correct

Believer, you know better then to ask a question like that. Do you actually think that people here will change their minds? That would involve accepting the truth too, but, you know as well as I do that is not what people look for on YA. Just validations please.....
ADD: Ginbail, your answers are getting funnier and funnier here lately, great sense of humor and very true statement as well.
Believer, since you asked so nicely, I am putting in a special request, just for you that the morons will change and start listening......Yeah, right, that will happen.

Folks on YA always jump to conclusions.
Greekman is right. People here only want to have their opinion validated, so they ask questions like, "Here's what happened at the dog park ... was I wrong to tell the lady to go "F" herself?" Naturally, the wording of the question is skewed towards the asker's side, and the other side is never presented.
The news media is no different. They often report stories in such a way that you can only draw one conclusion. Opposing views are not presented. It doesn't surprise me that Yahoo News is no different either.

I never heard the story but I feel its just stupid that they could think this was what killed this guy. Of course the dogs would panic and tried to help the guy. People break ribs when trying to revive someone, panic and adrenalin. It's obvious to me, irritating, those reporters should be fired, what a waste of space.

People who jumped to conclusions, or assumed what the media said at the outset was correct, are not going to change their minds no matter how much evidence to the contrary you present to them. These people are small minded, and refuse to think for themselves. They have a set belief and will not change it.
