No it is not bad. In their natural habitat ( meaning out in the wild) they eat raw, often still living food. A dog is completely capable of digesting raw meat and bones. But feeding a dog COOKED food( like what is on your dinner plate) is a complete NO NO!! Cooked bones are much too hard and brittle to be digested properly for an animal, while all of the grease can cause a dogs stomach to "twist".

Raw can be quite good, but not in the way you are doing it. If you want to do a raw diet, find a co-op that actually sells BARF brand or other frozen raw diets for dogs. The formulas they are selling are complete for the health of your dog. Also you will not be risking other bacterial and hormone problems found in food from a regular grocery store. Just like us, they need a variet of things to make their diets complete. Care enough to leave that to companies have researched what dogs need.

My dog has been eating Innova Red Meat formula, (there are no grains), but we are having to add in cooked squash to help give him normal digestion. He also gets some supplementation to help fill in the gaps of his nutrition. We have had to go this route due to severe allergies to protiens like liver and peanut butter. He has not been able to tolerate many high quality raw diets or kibble either. So be careful and do your research to make sure your dog is getting the right balance of nutrition.

Raw meat is fine for dogs however feeding raw isn't as simple as just feeding raw red meat and chicken..you need to learn the proepr way to feed a raw diet..if it isn't balanced correctly you can make your dog very ill from improper nutrition.

its fine dogs in the wild eat it all the time. but because they are domestic and they were on reg. dog food they might be sick @ first. because of the diet change. no worries they should be fine.
