ok. the best thing you should do is buy a medium dog. trust me they are from 450.00 and up. and they are very good pets.i asked a dog expert a friend of ours and this is what she said:
Never buy a teacup (super small dogs)they are very expensive and are very delicate. they cant walk on a floor because they could get injured and can die.
the best dog to buy is a medium dog because they are not that small and not that big. and you can walk with them and could carry them.try not to buy white dogs because they cry when you leave them and then they get black marks. a good dog to buy is a Chihuahua they are very good pets and are from 200.00 and up.
try to buy dogs online because they are breeds. if you buy them in a pet store there mostly mixed and they can be bad dogs. some of them. so the best thing is to buy a dog online and remember don't put a lot of personal info online. put your fake name.the best website to buy a dog is puppyfind.com!and if you want to buy a dog make sure you are really responsible. and i recommend you to be prepared of training a dog it take from a week and up to train a dog!
good luck☻☻!!!!!

You should do some research on your own on all the different dog breeds, and decide which breeds you like best. For me, my favorites are pit bulls, bulldogs, and boxers. You can read descriptions of all the different breeds, and look at pictures of all of them on http://www.dogbreedinfo.com and http://www.akc.org

Once you know what breed you like, and know what to expect from each, you can start looking for your new dog. You can start looking in your local animal shelters for pure breed and mixed breed dogs. Decide on whether you want to adopt a puppy, or an adult dog. You can also look on http://www.petfinder.com to search for puppies and dogs who are in animal shelters and rescue groups in your area. You can search based on breed, age, size, and gender. Good Luck finding your new dog!!!

Check the local pound or animal shelter. You rescue a loyal friend that needs a home. :)
