How big will my chihuahua puppy get?

Question

We rescued this chihuahua puppy- at 8 weeks she was 1 1/2LBS
and at 9 weeks she was 2Lbs. The vets say she will be small, stay small, but i was just curious on how BIG she might get. I know it depends on the mother and father also, but we have no information on them. THANKS for your help!

The Chihuahua Weight Chart is great to use as a guideline to estimate a mature weight within a quarter of a pound or so. This table is used only as a guide, as many things can affect the mature weight of a puppy. Weight may vary depending on its bloodline, genetics, how well the animal is fed, etc. Weight estimates before the age of 8 weeks old are often inaccurate because the puppy is still nursing or being weaned and may be heavier due to fat from the mother's rich milk. This weight chart only works with purebred Chihuahuas. The weight chart is from a book called "The Complete Chihuahua Encyclopedia" by Hilary Harmar, Pub. 1972, Arco Publishing Co., Inc.

" Toy & Small Breed Puppy Calculator
1.Take your puppy’s weight at 6 weeks old and multiply x 2.
2.Take that total and multiply x 2 again. This is an estimate of how big the puppy will be as an adult.
3.Example: A 6 week old puppy which weights 4 pounds.
4 pounds x 2 = 8 pounds (step 1)
8 pounds x 2 = 16 pound adult dog (step 2)

Medium & Large Breed Puppy Calculator
1.Take your puppy’s weight at 14 weeks old and multiply by 2.
2.Now take half your puppy’s weight at 14 weeks old and add it to the first calculation.
3.Example: A 14 week old puppy which weights 10 pounds.
10 pounds x 2 = 20 pounds (step 1)
5 pounds + 20 pounds = 25 pound adult dog (step 2)

Giant Breed Puppy Calculator
1.Take your puppy’s weight at six months and multiply by 2.
2.Example: A 6 month old puppy which weights 45 pounds.
45 pounds x 2 = 90 pound adult dog (step 1)
