I have taken my dog to the vet and gotten some medicine for her ear but are there any other home remedies I can use to treat her ear infection?

Last night i had to get up a lot to try and settle her so the neighbours wouldnt get angry-- what can i do to make her relax?? so she sleeps better...i had her running around all afternoon yesterday to try and get her all tuckered out so she would sleep but it didnt work...she only slept for a while..

She went through the regular discharge following the birth for about 10 days, but now, the Male is eagerly stalking her and her discharge has re-appeared.

I am afraid she is "Fertile-Myrtle" !!

I am fostering a pair of dogs; a large male golden retriever and a female rottweiler mix. The female has started spotting; I have found a few spots of blood on my floor. I have never had a female dog before, and I do not know what this means.

Both dogs were found and I am fostering them until we find a new home for them together... so I do not know their history. I can see that the male is neutered... but how do I know if she is spayed? Will she still have spotting if she is spayed? Will the bleeding stop after a little while? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

My fiance and I are going to be moving out and looking for a friend for our current dog who is a Mini american eskimo. I recently posted a question about an eskie and a shiba inu but apparently their personalities will clash. can anyone tell me from experience what type of dog works best with eskies?

I live in Central Florida and the last 2 years has been a tick nightmare for my dogs. My 2 dogs are on Frontline Plus but every few days I have to sit down and pull 20-30 ticks off of them. I honestly think the Frontline is doing nothing. I have had my yard and house sprayed, but it seems there is no stopping these blood sucking ticks. Does anyone have a solution better than what I am doing?

2 days ago, my doxie was neutered. He is often quite active and seems to be back to his normal self. I feel bad keeping him in his pen for so long. He is having cabin fever. Can I take him out for a walk still? He needs that exercise before I have a permanent rug track in my house. Any suggestions?

I have two semi large dogs. I have been feeding them Beneful dog food for as long as I have had them. I have had my oldest dog for nearly 2 years and the other over a year. However, they dont seem to be getting the nutrients that they need from this dog food. Are there any others that I could try giving them? Please help as I dont know what other kind to buy. I have tried a few other brands of dog food but they dont eat it. I appreciate your help.

In a few weeks we will have a litter of mini pinscher puppies. A few people I know that breed dogs told me that they dock the tails themselves using a string to tie around the tail and about after a week it falls off. What kind of string would I need to use? And how tight would I need to tie it around their tails?

I got a puppy about two weeks ago and she is very skinny. She eats her meals, drinks plenty of water, and does not have worms. I want to put a little more weight on her but I dont know how? Should I feed her something else? Right now she is eating dry puppy food. Should I give her can? Also I read that I can also give her puppy formula to have her get bigger. Is that true?

ok, we got our puppy at 8weeks old. we started cutting her nails shortly after with no problems. then about 3 months ago, we cut them again, and 2 of them bled a little. thankfully she didnt feel it, or at least didnt seem to. we didnt change the guage on the nail clipper, so i dont really know why it bled all of a sudden. we tried doing it again last month and again the first one we did bled so we stopped. she's completely black so its kinda hard to see where the quick is, but we didnt even cut down to the little groove that you can see in the nails, and what we did cut off was hardly 1/8" (the lowest setting on the clippers). her nails are pretty sharp and she's been tearing me open when she scratches, so i know they are longer than they used to be. today we bought new clippers, they have no guage tho so they worry me. we clipped them and only one bled. i feel so bad.

Our loving, young pet Mimi, a very small, chi was murdered by a man named Frank on Tuesday afternoon. Frank took our little dog and slit her throat then threw her over his back fence. Thanks to the excellent, diligent work of the Novato Police Department, Marin County, Frank Garduno was arrested and is in jail with a over $100,000 bail. This man took the life of our family member, a dog that gave nothing but love to all that she met. She made our family laugh everyday with her antics. Her best friend was Ty the big black Great Dane, who is now moping around the house looking for his little friend. When I found my dog with her throat cut, ants crawling on her body, blood coming out of her ears, my belief in human kindness died. Who is this man, a Vietnam vet, dying from some disease, not on his meds, whatever reason, this is a sick person who does not belong in our society. He should be listed as a predator, just like sex offenders. Is any one safe anymore? GIVE THIS MAN THE MAXIMUM SENTENCE.
