Just running around in the house is enough exercise they need.

They just need a lot of time on the exercise wheel. I would not let one loose as it might get stepped on or slip through a fence slit.
In all seriousness, Chihuahuas only come in one size, there is no such thing as a teacup Chihuahua!!!
A healthy Chihuahua will weigh at least five pounds, up to seven pounds or so.
Chis need moderate exercise. Just a daily walk or two is enough. However they do like playing and they are known to get a good case of the zoomies every now and then.
Every breed of dog needs a daily walk at the very least, no matter what the breed.
Running around the house is more playtime and is what is called the zoomies.
Please do not buy a Chihuahua called teacup, as it is just a term the BYB's use to sell their unhealthy, tiny puppies for more money.
You can get a lovely, adorable, healthy Chi at your local shelter. Check it out.

They need walks not so much for exercise but to socialise with other dogs, otherwise they may become fearful and therefore aggressive. Just the "sniffing" is vital to their development.
PS there is actually no such thing as a teacup chihuahua. If you've been sold one, you probably paid a puppy farm (or petshop, which is the same thing) over the odds for the runt of the litter.

No such thing as a teacup chihuahua or teacuoany kind of dog. The only teacups I am aware of are the ones that you drink tea from. Chihuahuas do not need much exercise. They usually get plenty just running and playing in the house, jumping on and off the furniture, on and off your lap, etc..lol They are lots of fun and wonderful little dogs.

There's no such thing as a 'teacup' anything. Teacup is a word pet stores and puppy mills use to sell runty, poorly bred dogs that have a ton of health problems. Never buy a dog that's marketed as teacup, you'll end up paying a fortune in vet bills and it'll probably die young.

Hiya Hiya I'm Jezebelle and I'm a 12 weeks old Sable (Grey) GSD/papiolion and I'm here at Yahoo! Answers to answer dog questions from my point of view!To some this can be lots lots help full, But to others, its just stupid! please tell me what YOU think! just add a detail and ill check back later!
p.s. here is my site: http://www.dogster.com/dog/566248
This swift-moving little dog with its saucy expression, rounded skull and flaring ears is so small that it can get the exercise it needs just by running around the house or apartment. A sprightly pet, the Chihuahua is an ideal companion for an apartment dweller or a couch potato who doesn't care to indulge in long, outdoor walks.sounds fun fun!
but i like walks lots lots lots

this site has everything about chihuahuas from looks- to the most famous chihuahuas!
Hope this helps!

Sorry but there is no such thing as a teacup chihuahua.
A chihua shouldn't be over 6 pound although many are a large size going up to about 15 pound but these are very pet quality.
If they are upto about 8 pound they can get plenty of excercise in the house .

"teacup" Chihuahuas dont exist.. if somebody sold you a "teacup" dog they are a breeder selling you a runt, or a pup stunted from poor nutrition or poor genetics... it will need SOME excercise, but dont overdo it with a dog of such low qualtiy....

All dogs need exercsie but you can get away with having less space to do so if your dog is small. All dogs need to go out and see the world however, you don't want to keep it in your house 24/7 and only let it out to go to the bathroom.

No, they will entertain and exercise themselves inside the house just fine. They don't need to be walked like a lab or husky. But you most certainly can. It is encouraged to walk all dogs. It is healthy for them and helps you bond.
