No. I have both a male and female and my female comes into heat at her own scheduled time. Usually every 6 to 8 months

I don't know much about dogs being in heat, but I can share this story: we started taking care of a female dog that wasn't spayed. Her previous owner said she had never been in heat. She was 10 months old, so she should have been in heat already. A couple of days after being in our house, with our neutered male dog, she started her cycle. So I do think that being around a male dog can start a cycle, but I don't know if it would cause it to be earlier than normal.

Dogs are like people...some of us can be early bloomers, or soem of us can be late... best bet is to fix both of them right away to avoid any potiential accidents. Also, some breeds of dogs may skip cycles as well...some only go into heat once a year... really depends on your *****.
Also your male will be a better indcator than you will.. he may start acting like an idiot (my male gets all goofy and clumsy , and whines when we are at a show and there is a ***** in heat) so watch for the warning signs and do not leave them un-attended if you are not sure about her heat cycles.

Males do not "bring" females into heat. Females come into heat about every 6 months. The presence of the male has nothing to do with it.

proven fact that a female will mature faster is she lives with a male dog. Which means she will come into heat earlier than "an only child" dog

No, but if your male dog is doing it with a female dog who isn't in heat, it's probably a dominance issue...or as I've seen with my dog - they just really, really like each other (both are fixed).
