What did the emergency vet say when you called them and /or brought her in to see them. Because I know you just didn't rush right here on Yahoo Answers to see what we have to say about it.....right?

It's poison.....if your child drank it, where would you be now?

Immediately go to your local emergency vet and then they or you will call one of the animal poison control services. Pay the fee and talk to the specialist, then call the local emergency vet and give them the case # so they can talk to the specialist and decide the right plan for you (And next time, call your vet FIRST. You should already be on the way to emergency clinic, as during these moments, any potential toxins are being absorbed into your dog's system. And with some poisons, there will be a fatal point of no return!!!)

First, how much poison was in the bottle? You will need this information when calling poison control. The company's emergancy number is 314-966-2394. The active ingredient is: Sodium Tetraborate Decahydrate (borax) 5.4%.

You need to force the dog to drink water, induce vomiting, and call a vet!

Like any parent would do, call a vet immediatly, dont lolligog and take your time and ask what to do. Call your local vet and ask what you should do. They will either advise you to come and see the vet ASAP, or they will tell you to come first thing in the morning. Either way call and make sure, there is a doctor on call every night for cases like this. CALL NOW! Or your dog may be died in the morning.

Call you local poison control center and/or the local emergency vet, ASAP.

*IF* you need to get her to vomit up the ant killer, a tablespoon or so of hydrogen peroxide works very well (we had to get our cocker to urp up 2 lbs of chocolate candy once). But don't have her throw up unless directed. Some poisons are not treated this way.
