Can someone tell me if there is any way possible to find out exactly what breed of dog I have?? Maybe through a certain Vet. or something like that. I've been trying to find someone who can help me for 2 years now. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

yes! dog DNA is available! they can tell which breed it is even if it is a "designer" dog (mutt). a good vet should be able to provide you with any imfo. beware!!!! this is VERY expensive! so if it's just wondering, a vet should be able to guess pretty close what breed(s) are involved.

Umm... Well, if it's a purebred, it should have come with registration. If you adopted, try going to www.akc.org and seeing if any of the breeds resemble your dog. If you can't find anyone who knows, it's probable your dog is a mix, and it's impossible to ever know for sure what breeds are in a mix- not even a vet can figure it out for you.

If you post pictures on here, you might get some good guesses, but I think your best bet would be just to love her as a pet and not care what her parents were.

Yes a picture would help but.... dogs have been around just about as long as humans and have inter breed with other breeds. Some people say there is no such thing as a pure breed dog anymore. who knows! Your dog is probably, for lack of a better term, a "Mutt". Which doesn't always mean a bad thing, just "of many breeds." I have 2 "mutts" and don't really care that they are. Pure breeds are no better than a mix. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise! The best of luck to you and your dog!

The likelihood is your dog is a mixed breed, unless you somehow managed to get one from a breeder that didn't know what they were doing, or what they had (which isn't likely). Seeing a picture I could probably give you an idea of what types of dog are in the mix, but with some dogs it's hard to distinguish, especially if both parents were mixes to begin with.

Sorry but no there isn't. many can guess but that isn't right.
I had a cocker spaniel that had gone into a dry heat and accidentally was bred by my chihuahua. I walked my cocker so I know there were no other breeding. I kept on pup ( the umbilical chord had wrapped around the back leg and age 3 days I had to have the leg amputated)
Well any ways she turned out to look almost like a long haired daschund.
So sorry again but there is no test or anything that can be done.
I'm sure he is a sweet dog any ways

Vets may know be good at determining mix breeds, but experienced, professional dog breeders and some trainers can help you...

I have a golden x Shepherd Mix, but he has a curly tail like a Chow .... But a Golden x Chow doesn't look like him... Golden x Shepherd does ... don't know where the curly tail comes from ?

I found out by guessing and looking at pix online...

Get a DNA test done, it will tell you what type of dog you have. It cost around $65. Check it out at whatsmydog.com

It is probably a mix breed.

Where did you get him from? Ask the breeder.
