I know there probably all on the banned dogs list around the world, but would it be an American Pit Bull, Japanese Tzu, Rottweiller, German Sherherd, Doberman, Rhodezian Ridgeback (that they use to hunt Lions) or an Australian Pig Dog (for hunting wild boars) ?

My fiance and I have to travel in a couple of weeks. His cousin is coming home for his last surprise visit before being deployed. The same weekend, another close cousin is graduating from high school. Basically, it's very important we are able to get home for a period of time. Unfortunately, we are unable to rent a car, our vehicle is in disrepair, and 'home' is some 8 hours away. As we can't afford to fly, we must take a bus.
Here's the problem. We have a dog, and we can't find anyone to watch him, nor can we afford a kennel service. Of course, Greyhound has a no-pet policy. We have a dog carrier that is quite discrete--it basically looks like a nice bag--and as our dog is quite small (he's a pomeranian) he'd be easy enough to sneak on, in theory anyway. He's always been quiet and well behaved on previous road trips north. But of course, this is a last resort, and we're nervous about the idea. Has anyone brought a dog on a bus trip undercover? Any stories to share, or even tips?

My husband and I have a 9 week old Cockapoo. We have had her for about a week. She sleeps through the night in her cage without crying and she is mostly potty trained, but she is very clingy during the day. We play with her a lot, and she is never home alone. If I go more than a few feet away from her, she cries very loudly, especially if she can't get to where she sees me. When we ignore her, she just gets louder and louder until the neighbors complain. I have had a puppy before, but she didn't whine all of the time like this one. I'm not exactly sure how to deal with this, but I want to make sure I have a healthy, well-adjusted dog. Any tips would be appreciated.

If the dog park was leash free and had two dog runns that were double fenced, trash recepticals, feild lighting (for night) some shaded areas, benches, plastic bags so you can pick your dogs poo up, water areas, restrooms, benches and it was required for entrence we have a copy of your dogs yearly vaccinations on file (for others dogs and owners safety). Then maybe for the people there was like some kind snack shop with picnic tables and posts to chain the dog to while you grab a bite to eat and they sold dog treats too outside the runns.
What would you pay for a pass for one day? That would alow you to leave and come back that day and was open from 6am -11 pm .

My chihuahua had her menses on April 21. She was ready to breed and she tied four days in a row and then she was done. I noticed some more bleeding and spotting after this and her discharge still isn't clear.

2 weeks ago I purchased a beautiful 6 week old Maltese pup from a pet shop for $1200. It was an impulse buy - I was there to buy food for my other dog, a 7 year old Westie, when I found "Robbie". I immediately got him and introduced him to Tracey - everything was fine. I was told that he had 2 sets of shots, was wormed and microchipped. They gave me a [FAKE] certificate saying he was vacc., wormed and all that. I was told I would get his APR papers within 3 days - no papers. Basically, 2 weeks after the purchase and $2500 in vet bills, Robbie died of Liver Shunt. The shop lied to me about his vaccinations, worming (he had worms and diarrhea when we got home) and after 15 minutes of scanning Robbie, NO MC! I found out after heaps of phone calls that the "vet" who signed the certificate, Dr. Simon C. McYilda, wasn't a certified vet anymore. (continued)
*I now know all about pet shop dogs so anybody giving me negative talk how I shouldn't have got him etc. will be reported.

Right now he's basically surviving on water and fruit, I've tried everything that I can think of, he won't eat the dry puppy kibble alone, I've mixed the dry food with wet and he nibbles at it but leaves it mostly untouched, he won't even eat my food when I give it to him, he just goes to the water bowl and fills up. I've even tried using dry cat food, as my friend has a dog that only eats cat food so I decided to try it, he eats a little bit more than the puppy food, but not much, I've had him for 2 weeks now and I'm starting to get very worried cause I don't know what else to do. On the other hand, he seems healthy, he runs around and plays like a little demon, and he's still chubby, but I don't know how much longer he'll be like that if he doesn't eat. Does anyone have any suggestions? Oh I tried mixing the cat food with wet food and he actually barked at me.

She is mostly border colley. All black except a small white patch on her chest. She will likely become a large dog. She is gentle, loves and wants to be loved.
Need ideas.

My dog Molly, loves raw vegetables. She is a 100 pound pitt bull/dalmation mix. very loveable She will cry for such veggies and fruits as broccoli, califlower, tomatoes ,cabbage, peppers, cantelope, watermelon, and anything else we eat. She will even eat spinach and lettuce if it has blue cheese dressing on it, and any kind of meat.

I've noticed over the years that I rarely see someone with a dalmation for a pet. I see all other dog breeds even the mean ones kept for pets but might only see one dalmation every couple of years. I've also moved a lot the past 3 years to different places and different states and still rarely see them. I was curious as of why.

female-5 y/o lab/rott mix, gold color-has been a family /roommate that moved and i have been caring for her
very playful, good with kids, protected of her loved ones, all shots updated, has a micro chip and good with basic obedience (some) really likes attention and rubs on her belly\
Male-2 1/2 y/o lab, gold color, my brothers friend brought him over and said his previous owner will come for him if he can, but never came and im caring for him, all shots updated, micro chip , loves to run and attention, very jumpy but always eager to learn and stay busy.
Im renting a home and will probably have to move out before the end of the year and its just so painful for me to give them away but i need to find them a good family who love and care for them and actually give them all the attention they need. I work full time, go to school in the evenings and trying to find a place that will accept dogs there weight and size is impossible and im sure someone can give them a good home and love em

My dog likes to sit on my lap when I'm on the couch. She sits resting her body on mine, with her head on my chest and she looks up at me with those big brown eyes.
All I can do is look back at her, smile and give her lots of cuddles, it is the cutest thing she does.

My dog is 16, kind of weak, pants a lot. Doesn't have a lot of time left, I would guess. Has a new tumor in his ear. The size of the tip of a sausage link, and seems to be growing rather quickly. It's laser sugery, outside of body...but he'd have to be put under. My choice is to let it get too big, til I'll need to put him down OR get him an expensive sugery that he may not survive. I love this dog with all of my heart, for all 16 years, he's my boy. Please offer some advice, I need to make a decision soon, and I go one way then the next. Thank you.

My dog is very aggressive he bites when you touch him while he is eating, he also bites small children, and of course me. He gets very angry when you play tug of war and tries to bite. How do I train my dog not to bite? Also, could it be that we spank the dog when he doesn't behave? I don't know what to do. I would love to know of a way to train my dog without spanking him.

I am getting a puppy as my graduation gift from my grandparents. I have a 2 year old female German Shepherd Dog. She is very well behaved and is ceritfied in thearpy. I would like to have a small breed about 15lbs or less. Price really isn't an issue, I was told to pick what I wanted. Problem is I don't really know what I want. I have worked with most breeds but there are just too many to choose from. A mix breed wouldn't be a bad answer, I just would like to know what breeds are in it. Any suggestions?
