My cats and dogs love eachother and they don't care who knows it.

It isn't a question of hate. It is a question of the dog's instinct to chase anything that moves and the cat's instinct to move really fast when encountering large, scary things like dogs.
I have 3 cats and 3 dogs. They all get along. But my cats were raised with dogs and are fully armed (i don't believe in declawing) My cats don't run so my dogs don't chase them. And if they have to, my cats will teach the dogs they have little razors on the end of their hands.

I don't think that cats and dogs hate each other, I think it all has to do with the people who own them. I have a 6 year old pug and a 2 year old cat who love each other dearly. I also have 2 chinchillas in which my cat plays with. I think any animals (well almost) can be taught to love and respect each other, just as people do. owning animals in a way is like having kid's, it takes time and patients

This is a serious and truthful answer: My Jack Russell Terrier, Oreo, HATES cats. She hates cats more than she hates the mailman. I really don't know what she'd do if she ever attacked a cat, and I don't want to find out. Oreo might lose a couple of eyeballs, though. I don't think she realizes the weapons that cats have on the end of their paws.

No, the dogs and cats can get along, but it depends on the dog and the cat's personality. For example, chihuahua s are very aggressive so they dont get along with any types of animals.

Act. I used to have a German Shepherd and an alley cat that couldn't be separated. They even slept together.

i think dogs just like to chaase things. my old dogs love cats... they still do
it depends on the breed and their instincts. my current dog likes to chase but she gets along if the cat likes dogs
