Male-2 1/2 y/o lab, gold color, my brothers friend brought him over and said his previous owner will come for him if he can, but never came and im caring for him, all shots updated, micro chip , loves to run and attention, very jumpy but always eager to learn and stay busy.
Im renting a home and will probably have to move out before the end of the year and its just so painful for me to give them away but i need to find them a good family who love and care for them and actually give them all the attention they need. I work full time, go to school in the evenings and trying to find a place that will accept dogs there weight and size is impossible and im sure someone can give them a good home and love em

I would take them to the local shelter. They screen prospective adopters, making sure they find good homes. Our local shelter is no-kill, so that isn't a worry. They stay until they are adopted. Our kitty was there for two years. Don't give them away "to a good home". Not every home is good. Make sure you help them find a nice "forever" home.

There are several ways to go about finding a new home for animals that you love. Use websites like petfinder.com, and postaroo to get started. Millions of people visit these websites on a daily basis. Secondly, you could most definitely put up posters at your local vet, or even outdoors where you know people will respond. Always make sure that you specify "to good home". When someone does respond, and is serious about taking the animal, there really is no way to tell whether the person will always be good to them, just try to follow your instincts and refuse to give up an animal to anyone who you get a bad vibe from.

Put ads up in shelters, grocery stores, and at pet grooming businesses. Also try the newspaper. My boyfriend's sister is trying to sell some puppies and put an ad in the newspaper and has gotten a ton of phone calls since then. With the type of dogs they are it should be pretty easy to find a new home for them.

So far the best way I have seen is to go to a local no-kill shelter.. ask them about options. I went to a great no-kill shelter, they spoke to me, I was approved, and one of the ones they gave me as an option (after knowing my schedule, and activity level and such) was one that someone had asked them for help with. The woman did not want to put him in a shelter, but wanted to find a good home for him.. by doing it this way she knew going into it that I was suitable by the shelter's standards, she had the ability to sit and talk with me, she was able to watch me walk him, she did ask for money, but it was a donation to the shelter that helped.. ( I chose to give them the same amount I'd have paid them to adopt one of their dogs).. and she said herself that it was more of a relief.. she wasn't worried about him going with me.. (as a matter of fact, I took him home that day.. she planned on making a house visit first..but after the shelter talked to me.. and she talked to me.. she was comfortable with me.

I've had him over a year now, and I still have her cell phone number, I send pictures through email.. everyone is happy.

That is probably the best way I can think of.. if you have the ability to keep them until a home is found it relieves the stress on the dog, it takes the feeling of guilt off of you, and allows the shelter to help two more dogs.. another option is breed specific rescue..

Go to www.craigslist.com its free and easy to post adds you can also put pics up unlike www.potfinder.com and get way less "out of state" Adopters Always ask for a adoption fee of at least $30.00 To help keep away the bad people ! also it helps to have potential adopters fill out a adoption application and a adoption agreement ! Hope this info helps And good luck placing you dogs !

Put them up in petfinder.com it works so well. I currently intern in an animal shelter after school. And usually when people come in and ask for adoption they said they found out about us from petfinder.com. Try contacting a local animal shelter and see if they can put up your ad in the petfinder.com under their shelter. People will start calling in anytime!

Call all your local Vets offices and ask them to put up signs in their waiting room. I work at a Vets office and we have calls all day from people wanting free dogs/cats!
