One cat is nasty, the other is tolerant. Tonight when the ball landed next to the nasty one, my almost year-old golden retriever wouldn't go near it but she would have if it was the other cat. So my dog just sat and whined at me. How did she know?

our lab is about 10-11 months old, so yeah, he's still a pup, but he KNOWS to go outside when he has to potty. he will wake me up at night if he needs to go out.
the thing is, if he gets excited, like tonight, a repairman came to look at the freezer and my husband put him in our bedroom. i caught him standing on our bed peeing.
then, one night we had a bunch of friends over for dinner and their kids were running around playing with the dog and he wouldn't tell us he had to go out, so he'd just stop playing and pee all over the floor!!!

is this just him being a puppy??
could he have some sort of bladder problem??
could he be peeing b/c he gets mad at us or is just excited and distracted??

thanks!

Okay me again and well I live in Dawson Creek(yes its a real place, not just a show) and well theres LOTS of snow, and its cold! so Im getting a little purse to carry around Skyler(thats what Im gonna call her, think its a good name?) in so shes not so cold. So ppl said dont use collars, so how can I have her little license tags on her?

Also I have three type of puppy food I have to choose from(since theres not alot of brands out there) theres pedigree, IAMS I think, and truly which is a Zellers brand(I shop there because I get my employee discount)

And my grandpas Shih Tzu had puppies a while back, and shes very motherly... do you think that she'll take Skyler as her own lol

I would be interested in taking my golden retriever to visit people in special care homes (once she calms down) but I don't know what needs to be done in order to qualify her for this. I also forgot the name of such a dog.

We went for a walk on the sidewalk and a car was backing out of the driveway just as we were getting to it. She started barking at it. Was it to alert me, to alert the driver, or simply because she was threatened by it herself?

My 7 month old German Shepherd has recently begun digging out under my fence. I have aproxximately 600 feet of backyard and am afraid she will get hurt or taken. She gets plenty of attention throughout the day with my two sons and also has plenty of toys. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We have an 8mon old male boxer, we introduced him to our home and our 6yr old amstaff (who adores him) about 6 months ago. Since day one, hes acted very mucho with her and other people. He grawls and carry's on and on (he is playing, but it sounds so aggressive and hes not). I know his reasoning for doing this, is that he is trying to be the alpha male.

He knows i am his owner and he NEVER does it to me. But he literally picks on people who let him get away with it. Any advice on how to stop this?? should my husband have more of a active role in disciplining him, that way the pup knows he is not the alpha male?

I adopted my dog from a POUND, not a shelter, but a City POUND...
I got him as a little 'very sick' pup. He had bad skin, was all bones, and was starving. They said he was going to die, but I had just lost my DOG "best friend" to liver failure and this little guy maybe I could save... So i adopted him and took him home, he went through a stage of even caughing up worm larve, he had to be dewormed every 2 weeks for about 3 months. He was infested with mites, and fleas. I gave him medicated baths, with good shampoo from the vet, and did everyting I thought right??? But he is now 11months old and, when my family was here for thanksgiving....

My cousin said he started to scream and run around in circles biting him self...and fell to the ground...

Didnt think much of it until, i noticed he could not walk good, and would not eat, I took him to the vet and they said he had BAD Rickets and Muscle spasms.

What should I do. Is there anything I should do. He is on Muscle relaxents/roids

I have had tons of problems with fleas over the last two months. I have cleaned like crazy, and my chi has been on Advantage (which worked for a week) and Frontline Plus (which doesn't seem to work at all). I am considering Program but I am wondering if I would be able to bathe her. The Program would help with the eggs, etc. The bath would help with the adult fleas. What do you think?

Well i've had her for about 3 years and well she just lays in her bed and cries looking into nothing. Sometimes she just looks @ me and cries. My aunt says it's cause she's jealous of our 2 new puppies but i don't think that's it.
