A lot depends on details you haven't given - how old are the children? how is your dog's temperament?
First, it's important, at least in the beginning, that you not leave them with the dog unsupervised, especially since you say the oldest doesn't seem to always like the dog. Spend quiet time with kids and dogs, teaching them how to treat a dog - concentrate on what to do, not what not to do. Get them involved in feeding, brushing, playing with and walking the dog. Most kids have an affinity for dogs and, if your dog is kid-friendly, she could turn into someone these two boys can confide in - a dog is non-judgmental, won't repeat your secrets and always ready to sit with you.
Also, if you haven't had these 2 boys for very long, they're still adjusting to their new home and family, never mind the dog. Be patient - it'll come.

If your dog is willing to play with these 2 adopted children, then everything would be fine. Dogs are the best companions for humans on earth. They'r'e fun to be with, and good dogs are usually accepted in a short period of time, by children and adults. Try doing something fun with the dog and the children, like going to the park, playing fetch, let the children feed the dog, probably have a nap with it, sit on the couch and read or watch tv with it. These are probably the best ways. The most important is to make sure the children isn't terrified of the dog. Let the dog show them something interesting, and they would think the dog's cool.

Some dogs are very protective of children, just keep the dog on a leash and bring the kids in, depending also on the kids age, they should be able to like your dog, but if i were you, i would do some research on the kids history in regards of what kind of animals they like and see what happens. You don't want to end up bring two kids who dont like or are probably allergic to animals and then can't decide who to get rid off, most likely the dog.
good luck.

I think you should not introduce them, just keep them in the back yard, tied down for about the first two months. then gradually let the dogs go outside to get aquainted.

what type of dog is it? some dogs are not child-friendly. Is he a mild-tempered dog like a golden retriever? There shouldn't be a problem, just make sure you're always present.
