we have a dobermen pincher around 9 years old.male.he chews away on his back causing a sore.i shaved the spot he was chewing so he couldnt pull out his hair.so now he started another spot right next to the old one.he has no fleas.at least ive never seen any on him.why is he doing this and how do i stop him.i tell him no.. but thats not stoping him.also i tryed that stuff that taste nasty to the dog.well it dont bother him.

My little bella hound is here beside me, and she is the most beautiful baby in the world, I love her more than my boyfriend who i have been with for 9 years, i am only asking this question because he is out at the mo!! He loves her more than he loves me though!! but I don`t mind coz she is lush!!

Miracle, our 4 month old Shih Tzu (Toy dog) got her rabies shot at the vets today, We have had her just for a couple weeks and this is our first time havving a dog.
She's lost internest in eating, playing with her toys, and even going outside! She never would turn down a run in the backyard away!
She's feeling realy warm, and we think she has a fever...
She's just huddled up in her dog bed and hasn't moved for awhile, witch is getting me worried.
I would ask my vet, but the've already closed...

I think my dog is left-handed, or left-pawed. When he "shakes" he offers his left paw. When he wants his belly rubbed, he paws at my arm with his left paw. Has anyone else ever had reason to think their dog favors one paw over the other? What examples can you give?

I have noticed in the last month or so that my 2 yr. old Boston terrier has been getting bumps on her skin. They start small and then grow and then disapear. They can be anywhere on her body but mostly on her head. I have read about puppy warts but they do not seem to have the same characteristics...can anyone give me some insight into what may be the cause.....

I have a 2 yr old dog that is otherwise completely housetrained in the downstairs part of our home. She had been completely off limits upstairs while housetraining as a pup. I've tried to allow her to have complete roaming privileges thru-out the home, but she seems to go poo upstairs the minute I remove the gate in front of the stairs. I don't want to deal with the gate being there anymore, but don't know how not to change her pattern about pooping upstairs. Again, no problems whatsoever downstairs.

What is a good weight/size for a 3 month old male Boxer pup. He has big paws and is healthy, his dad was about 90lbs and mom 65-70lbs.
Does his parents size really play a part in his?, and he was not the runt for sure.

My pug Lulu will bark when someone rings the doorbell and its anoying she wont stop. Even if you knock on the door she wont stop. God it bugs me all the time.

I have two pitbulls, my neighbor has two shitzuhs. They always bark at one another through the fence. Yesterday, my neighbors dog actually got its little head through the fence and my dog bit at it breaking it's jaw and spliting it's tongue. Now, the vet is saying that the dog may not make it.
