I was feeding my GSD pup lots of milk for calcium the past 3 months but now she is getting very sick from it.

Is it only high lactose dairies or all ? I was told by a vet a while back that yoghurt and cottage cheese is good .

I have a 6 month old German Shephard she is my baby : ) however she is extremely fussy about eating .
I have tried the barf diet (Raw meats) which she only liked the first 2 days and i kept her on it about 8 weeks and only had problems with it not to mention it costed way beyond my budget of 30 $.

She wont eat any kind of dried food either I have tried sevral vet recomended brands. I wait for her to get super hungry too and she just gets upset and even acts depressed.

The only thing she wants to eat is homemade cooked foods like rice and chicken or stews and I am told making her food at home is not healthy but she doesnt like anything else.

Do you have any health recomendations that are not to exepnsive
keep in mind she is one big puppy who needs alot of food : )

ok, ive already asked about potty training my new dog. hes 5 1/2 months and lived with someone else. hes not neutered yet (he will be next week) hes a mini poodle also. (are poodles harder to train?) she said he was "partially" potty trained, whatever that means. the first day he did ok. just one pee in the house. well last night, right after i took him inside from using the bathroom, he pooped! and then again before we went to bed, and he peed, inside. i take this dog out EVERY hour. (i'm a stay at home mom, im ALWAYS here) i dont get it. when he uses the bathroom outside, he always gets positive reinforcement, and a treat. i dont understand why hes doing this. like i said, he goes out ALL the time! i know this will take a little while and lots of patience...buttttt....any tips? i keep hearing about puppy pads, should i try those, even tho i want him to use the bathroom outside?

What should I do about this? They are NOT attached to her skin but look like dried skin. I find them on her bed after she has been biting at her self and when I checked the area there were more. She doesn't seem to hurt in the area. Could they be worms? Or just dried skin?

I have a 4 yr old English Bulldog, he is potty trained, never goes inside always outside and a very good dog, but he has started urinating in his kennel. I've taken him to the vet and it isn't a medical issue. I put him in the kennel just when i go to work he is in there for approx. 8 hrs. So I had thought maybe he just can't hold it, but he can sleep in bed with me up to 12hrs and I can leave him in is kennel sometimes during the night and he won't do it. I know that he is probably being spiteful, but how to I make him stop?

My puppy has really sharp claws and they HURT when you're playing with him and he scratches you. I ordered Soft Paws from our vet and I was wondering if they really work. Thanks!

My 5 month old puppy has an adorable nature. He is affectionate and loving but his over zealous licking can get a bit much sometimes. Has anyone got any advise on how I can get him to calm his licking down?

I'm trying to decide whether to get a cat or a dog. I've never owned either before, so this will be my first pet. I work from 8:30-5:00 and sometimes until 9:00 on Mondays. I live in a condo. I kind of prefer dogs, but I worry about leaving it home alone for long hours while I'm at work.

My baby girl is badly inbred and has a weak immune system due to hypoparathyroidism (im not quite sure what it is either) and the mange is very severe. She actually only has about a third of her hair and looks awful. No one but me wants to touch her. I have tried numerous vetrinary products but nothing works. I was wondering if anyone knows of home or herbal remedies?

We are going to buy a puppy very soon, but we have 2 cats. 1 of our cats i dont think will care much about a new puppy in the house, becouse we have had a dog before and he didn't have a problem with him- but after the dog died we got a new cat, and im afraid she could hurt our puppy. How can we make her get used to the dog without going through a fight?

I have taken it away from her, but she really seems to like chewing on them. She pretty much rips apart any stuffed toy in a matter of minutes. She is half beagle and half cocker spaniel.
