We are going to buy a puppy very soon, but we have 2 cats. 1 of our cats i dont think will care much about a new puppy in the house, becouse we have had a dog before and he didn't have a problem with him- but after the dog died we got a new cat, and im afraid she could hurt our puppy. How can we make her get used to the dog without going through a fight?

You will want to supervise closely so they don't develop a bad relationship. If you can't be there to supervise you may want to place them in different rooms.
If your puppy is being too rough you need to remove him from the situation. If your puppy is being pushy, it may not be a bad thing for your cat to correct him and give him some respect for cat claws, but monitor to be sure that things don't get out of hand. If your cat is bullying the puppy for no reason, escort your cat to another room for a time-out.
And, may a suggest that you get a puppy or dog from a shelter or rescue as opposed to buying? If you must buy, please do not go to a pet store or back-yard breeder.

Petsmart and Petco both sell an item called soft claws nail caps, those would greatly reduce the risk of injury to the pup, altho the pup needs to know he cant just run all over the kitties either, so a few good taps from a cat will set his butt in the right place :) chances are the cats will hide and the dog will bark and play and they wont care a whole lot , its just how cats are! dont think it will hurt the puppy but may show puppy that is boss around the house
