Dogs don't seem to have the same strict thermoregulatory set point that people do. For example, if a person is off from 98.6, something is Wrong. The normal range of temperature for a dog is 99-102.5 degree Fahrenheit. They can fluctuate within this range without concern, and even go a little bit above if they have exercised recently. Temperatures typically associated with fever tend to be >103.0.
