I agree with the shock collar answer. It isn't harmful and it WORKS. However, your dog is excited (especially that breed) that someone is there. Why does that bother you? She's trying to be protective, as well as being excited to see what is behind the door. I put my dog in her crate when the doorbell rings (we keep the crate by the front door) and she still barks - but it is limited in time and she can't run out the door. They just get excited... it's their nature. It is what it is - let her have her fun when you know who is there - crate her when it's the UPS guy.

It is natural for dogs to feel protective of their home. The doorbell noise probably hurts her ears and she feels she needs to do something to try to tell you her ears hurt from the noise so you in turn will eliminate the doorbell. It doesn't sound like you need a dog or have the patience for a dog. Get a cat. Cats don't bark, but all animals have their problems. Maybe until your nerves settle down you should NOT have a pet. That would solve your pug problem, but it won't solve your impatience.

It's her job, She is telling you someone is coming, It's her way of protecting you and alerting you of something out of the ordinary.
My dogs bark when ever someone comes to the door also. Though I realize that they are dogs and that's what they do.
You might try a bark collar, They have some that work by releasing a spray as a deterrent

A dog should be trained on how to eat, walk with you, not to bark, potty training and sleep on its place etc. You can teach anything to your puppy, dogs get trained easily with some good instructions. If you want some good training tips visit https://tr.im/kZnns

If properly trained, they should also understand whistle and gesture equivalents for all the relevant commands, e.g. short whistle or finger raised sit, long whistle or flat hand lay down, and so on.

It's important that they also get gestures and whistles as voice may not be sufficient over long distances and under certain circumstances.

Get one of those shock collars.

EDIT:
More than likely, someone is about to answer this question saying that I am inhumane and cruel for even suggesting this. Keep in mind however, that your dog isn't stupid. After he gets shocked a FEW times, he'll learn to quit. It's not like he's going to do it all the time and get shocked all the time. Furthermore, the shock doesn't even hurt that bad.
