I have noticed in the last month or so that my 2 yr. old Boston terrier has been getting bumps on her skin. They start small and then grow and then disapear. They can be anywhere on her body but mostly on her head. I have read about puppy warts but they do not seem to have the same characteristics...can anyone give me some insight into what may be the cause.....

Never, ever wait on a bump. Your vet surprises me. Lumps and bumps are nothing to sit a stew over. If you can't get your vet to do a needle biopsy right away, find another vet. Limpomas are fatty tumors, however they are usually soft. Hard lumps are more to be concerned about. Caught early, cancerous tumors are 97% curable, however if left growth can go inward without you being aware of it.

It could be a lot of things but it may possibly allergies. My dog well actually both my dogs will break out in bumps if they come in contact with an allergen. My Lab will also break out with a staf infection. My vet said all dogs have a staf bacteria on their skin and some just have a reaction to it more than others. In that case they look they look like pimples at first than they break open into a small sore.
But my other dog just gets bumps on his head that you can feel but do not open into sores. Both are caused by allergies.

the most common allergies in dogs are food allergies. Get it off dog food with corn in it. Try a all natural dog food like canidae, innova, solid gold, california natural. these are really good ddog foods and all natural.
