Does anyone know of a brand of unscented leave in conditioner for dogs? The only stuff I can get my hands on is for froofy little lap dogs, and is scented like baby powder. Ugh. Dogs shouldn't smell like baby powder. As soon as she goes outside and gets damp, the smell is revolting. It's so perfumed that I think MY leave in would be better for her.

My wife and I recently bought an 8 week old miniature schnauzer so our 5 year old yorkie would have a friend. The yorkie is spayed but the schnauzer is not yet spayed. Our Yorkie has been in the habit of going on a pad in the house, and we are also teaching our puppy to use the pad. The mini schuauazer is pretty much housetrained by now, but our yorkie is now having problems. The (5 year old) yorkie has begun running around whichever room we are in and sprinkling urine around the floor, not localizing urine on one spot on the pad. What is the yorkie's problem and how do I get her to stop?

one is a year old and the other is about 2 months. we've had the year old chiuaua for about 8 months now and just recently got the new puppy. they rough house all the time and it appears that they are trying to bite each other, but they don't actually clamp down?? there is no bleeding or anything but sometimes the baby cries and runs away. although she wants to stop the year old dog still tries to chase her. and visa versa. one or the other will try to start the fight.

The vet says it is a possible pinched nerve. But he is Lymes positive and I have read that may have some neurological effects. Is it possible that the Lymes disease is causing the problem with his rear legs? He isn't in pain, he reposnds to pinching of his toes, he wags his tail and has bowel and bladder control. Has anyone had a similar experience?

My roommate's puppy keeps heaving like she's going to throw up and looks really uncomfortable.

About 30 minutes ago, she was fine and very active... Then we took her outside and she started acting really strange and it seemed like she was going to throw up, but she never did.

She seems to be breathing very heavily and keeps laying down and then moving a few inches this way or that as if shes in pain and then laying back down.

I called the emergency pet number and they basically told me to watch for constant vomitting and bring her in if she gets worse or doesn't get better by tomorrow.

Does anyone know what could be wrong?

Does anyone know where to start in shutting down a bad pet shop? I stopped in a local pet shop to look around and what I saw made me very sad. First it smelled really BAD! Then I saw about 8 little cages stacked on top of each other with puppies of various breeds including mutts. They looked horrible . One little puppy wouldn't even move. It looked like it was sleeping and I couldn't wake it even when I touched it . They all had scabs on their heads. It was so sicking! If anyone knows where do I start to get them shut down I would appericate the help. OH and they had a pregnate jack russell walking around .It was probable the mother of two older pups in one of the cages!

I have a rescued 3 year old greyhound. We've had him for about 4 months. We've had the hardest time housetraining him. I feel bad about doing the crate thing, since it's all greyhounds know when they are racing and he's been out of one for those 4 months now and will be hard to put him back in one. I know he understands going outside, because when we are around he wont go in the house and will let us know he needs to go outside. We have him on a rigid schedule. But at times he will still go inside the house when we are gone. Even after we've JUST taken him out and he did his businesses. We've let him out and he will go, then we'll leave for a half hour and come back and there is pee and poo on the floor. This behavior also applies to other things like the trash and cat food. He wont do it when we are there, but he does when we are gone. And I know he can hold it, because he's done it before. What is wrong with him and why cant he get it that its NOT ok to go inside when we are gone?

We are trying to potty train her. But I hate leaving her in a kennel all day. I feel so bad, also she takes forever to go to the bathroom outside. What is the BEST way to potty train a dog and how to I teach her to go outside and do her thing before she plays. Some mornings Its cold I just want to see her do her thing and then I can go back inside and let her play outside. I was thinking maybe take her out for 5 min's and then bring her back in for 30 mins....sooner or later she will know that outside time is not long so she better go if she has to go. Do you think thats a good idea? What are some really good websites to look at. Also, How do I teach her not to jump on people and not to bark at everyone she sees.

This is her and my husband playing with her ball: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPOIPT4uRvM

My dog pees when I try to pet him or more so when I lean over or crawl over. When I am standing and talk to him and stuff he is fine. Its just when I try to lean over him or something even close to doing that. Not sure about his past but is there a way to break him of this? Has anyone had experience with trying to break this? Or is it even possible? I would like to be able to scratch his belly and cuddle with him without the fear of him peeing on me.

I have a toy poodle and she mated with my mother-in-laws 11month old yorkshire terrier. It was his first time mating and this will be her second litter. She was breed 11/28/06, 11/29/06 and again 12/01/06 how soon can I tell if she took? Does anyone know about how much it is to get the Vet. to see if she is pregnant? I felt her tummy and I fell a tiny lump that wasn't there before but I only feel one.
