I have a mixed breed of dog and she is so brave! but my backyard has a tall privacy fence and so on thursday afternoons when my husband comes home he throws the trashcans over the top of the gate. Something seemed to have happened to my dog and those trach cans because if I leave them out there by the fence she will refuse to go outside to use the bathroom because my backdoor is like 5 feet away from the trash cans. Any way I could break her of this? What could have happened?

I have a mixed breed of dog, and I give her a bath in my bathroom tub any time she stinks. When she gets out, she shakes, and starts going crazy! she runs out of the bathroom, into my bedroom, out again, down the hall, through my living room, down the hall, back into my bedroom, and will repeat this until I turn my heater on and she can sit at the vent. I think it is sillly and funny and I don't mind it but i want to know if anyone elses dogs do that.

My puppy is only 9 weeks old. He does not want to eat or drink anything. The vet says he has a bacterial infection. My last puppy died, so I am very worried about this one. If anyone has any information that my be helpful.

In my backpack, i had two bags of "puppy chow", which are chex covered with chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar. Also, apparently, some reeses cups. I just got home, and i find all three ofg the bags shredded, powdered suigar everywhere, and it looks like my dog ate everything. He is a small daschund type dog. What do i do?

i have a 1yr and 2mos. old cocker spaniel and i was wondering how do i register her to the akc if the owner of my dogs mother and father werent registered to the akc either ?

i got her from my cosins cousin and i gess you can call it a back yard breeding but both parents are pure breed and i have no contact withe the owner of my dogs moms owner so if you can help that would be great.

She barks like crazy, he can get up to use the bathroom, walk back in and she barks at him. She is pretty vocal about any man, but mainly him. It is really beginning to wear on him, he has tried giving her treats and love, but she runs from him and hides behind me. We got her from a family that could no longer keep her, I don't know what her first 6 months have been like, but I have to find a solution, because he is at his witts end. He wants me to find her another home. I really want to make this work. However, I am out of ideas. Any help woudl be greatly appreciated!

My dog can get a bath one day and have a smell the same day. He's a little dog and stays inside most of the time. He even travels, with but what can I do? I wash him with a flea wash and he still gets the little buggers. What can I do ?

i have bought a chuwawa from a breeder in AL and he stated that it did not have problems when it left the kennel and that he had brought it to the vet two days before it was shipped.. i have recived the dog and bought it to the vet within two day what the terms said. the vet said that he had 2 types of worms, fleas , kennel cough. i called this breeder up and he said that the vet must have taken you for a trip and was saying that there was no way this all happend because he had taken it to the vet. i do have a westie that just recently visited the vet and there are no know problems with my currnet dog. the chuwnwa was sent air with another dog that was my frends and he had not bought that dog yet the breeder kept doubting it... what can i do?? i dont want to to give the dog back but i just drop 200 for vet bills?? thanks

I just bought a puppy. The lady told me pomeranian. but i knew it wasn't no pomeranian. so when i asked around people said its a chihuahua/rat terrier. but how small can they stay when the mature to adult. because some pictures i've seen the dogs are big. other pics the dogs are really small.

I think my dogs leg is broke. what should i do. DONT tell me to take him to the vet. anyone who says that is just trying to get attention. I ALREADY THOUGHT OF THAT. all the vets are closed around my town. just tell me if theres any kind of treatment i can use. any at all. please!!!!

I have a 3 year old mini schnauzer and she was bitten by a tick a little while ago. I noticed when I pulled it off I noticed that infamous bulls-eye that they give off. It was like a flat bump maybe the size of a dime with a dark red ring around it with an almost whitish center. I was wondering if this is a definite sign of Lyme disease, and when I should get the dog tested. If I bring her in tomorrow will it be to early and it might come up negative? I really want to try and get it cured as soon as I can so there won't be any bad affects on her.

I love my lab mix to death, but I feel that at the pet store, they have so much of the same type of toy, either ropes, balls or bones. He gets bored so easily. I heard that if I smear peanut butter on a washcloth (wet it and then freeze it) that he would LOVE IT! So I tried it and he DID! Does anyone else have any cool ideas like this? Much appreciated :)

I recently brought home a golden retriever puppy. I have had him almost two weeks, and I still can't get him to house train. I have raised several other kinds of dogs, but this one takes the cake on the stubborn-ness! They say not to scold or yell when you see them going potty in the house, to interupt them and take them outside to finish. First of all, he won't stop, and if you pick him up, we will just trail it all the way to the door, then once you get him outside, he won't go, he just sits down and looks at you. I use words like "outside" and "get busy" once we are outside, but he is just having lots of trouble. We live in an apartment, so I go out with him every time. I give him lots of praise and a 'cookie' when he goes outside, anyone have any suggestions? Even if he just went out 10 minutes ago and actually went potty, he will go in the house too! I use Nature's Miracle to clean up the smell, and I have tried a kennel. He has meal times and I limit his water intake....HELP!
