My puppy is only 9 weeks old. He does not want to eat or drink anything. The vet says he has a bacterial infection. My last puppy died, so I am very worried about this one. If anyone has any information that my be helpful.

It may be intestinal parasites. Go to the vet and have them check his stools and give him a deworming.

Well, the vet told you it's a bacterial infection, so that's probably what it is. Did the vet give you some antibiotics? Are you giving them to the puppy?

He's been to the vet, so you've done the most important thing. Now, do what the vet tells you, and it will be fine.

Well if your vet said it is a bacterial infection, did she/he at least give you something for it? My dog is 2 but when he has the same type of symptoms i usually trace what he has eaten, what area of the house he has been in and if he had possibly been in an area he shouldn't have. Your vet should be able to help and it wouldn't hurt to go get a second opinion if anything else. I hope your pup feels better

I find that there could be quite a few possibilities (mind my spelling):

- He might have something like a common cold that my dog had 3 times
- He might have stomach worms
- He might have eaten something that irrititated his stomach

But no matter what anyone says, you should go to a vet and get it checked out, I know it's expensive, but you don't know if it's something possibly deadly. My dog has a bad cold 3 times, had a siziour (how ever you spell it) and was hit by a car, and he's still alive. This is the part where you need to say, am I going to let it pass or am I going to pay that money and make sure that he will wake up tomorow.

Have you let your vet know that your puppy is not eating or drinking? If not, you need to make a call to vet and set up an appointment.
