What then do they think of all the mutts in the shelters that they are so worried about?

Just to let you know, I'm not saying anything bad about "mutts" which I think are great too, I'm just responding to a few answers I got the other day. Check my questions.

excuse me for not knowing you can get a dog spayed after it's pregnant and my moms dog can barely evev walk . i got the chiauhua for my daughter. some of you people need a life or just answer the questions that are asked and keep your own opinion out of it. Don't you people have jobs or a life at all for that matter?

Just because a dog isn't purebred doesn't mean its a PoS. Of the four dogs I have, only one is purebred. The other three are all rescues.

What I absolutely DO NOT agree with is these people purposely breeding MUTTS. Labradoodle, yorkie-poos, etc. These are all mutts. And people are charging ridiculous prices for them. These dogs can be found at local shelters everywhere. So while these people are charging and arm and leg for these mutt puppies, some other puppy or dog of the same mix dies in a shelter. And that is plain and simple wrong.

I wouldn't call any dog a Pos. And I love all four of my shelter dogs. (Two look to be purebred, two are mutts)

EDIT:
Yeesh, Tammy, I didn't see your original question. Sorry people were kind of harsh with you there. I see nothing wrong with even the word "mutt." Many of my favorite dogs were mutts.

Good luck with those puppies. I bet they're going to be just precious. take care of your little mama, too.

No I've seen some mutts that were pretty good dogs...BUT... I have registered dogs because I prefer certain characteristics found in certain breeds. I don't care for the trolls who breed to make money off those "designer dogs". These dogs are short lived and genetically misfits, sorry but you asked.

I donate plenty to the animal shelter in my county. But I don't want a mix. Just a personal preference to own a pure bred dog.

I prefer pure bred dogs because I can predict what temperment, characteristic, size, etc. they generally have been bred for. I know what I am getting opposed to a mixed breed of unknown origin.

You asked how much your pups would be worth. You put a monetary value on a mixed breeding then expect to make money off them. That's why you got the answer you got from me. That's my story ...and I'm stickin to it.

You got harsh answers because you asked a question that seemed to be concerned about how much could you get from your little "accident".
If you don't know that a male can breed FAR beyond the age that a female can, then you have NO BUSINESS having an unspayed female.....which I am sure is NOT show/breeding quality and SHOULD NOT be bred from anyway.
THAT is why you got harsh answers!!!!! You could have taken YOUR girl to the vet after the "accident" and gotten her spayed ASAP so there wouldn't be any puppies, but you seemed more concerned about how much they could be worth.

I wouldn't call any dog a POS (well, maybe a few of the biters I have worked with), but the shelters are already so overwhelmed. We see people who have no business breeding, all the time here, and it gets upsetting. THAT is why your answers weren't very nice.

Of course a 12 yr old can breed, it seems that the males of ANY species can breed until they die, LOL!

We have one registered purebreed and we keep out shelter dogs "letters of recomendation" right next to her certificate on the mantle. : )

The way a dog behaves and its personality are more important than its breed. And since any type of dog can get any other kind pregnant (unless we're talking Great Dane versus Teacup) it seems to me they are all connected somehow in a way that should allow for the celebration of all combinations.
