You can call them whatever you want. You will not change the fact that they are mutts.

I hope this doesn't come off as rude... I'm not saying your dogs aren't wonderful and awesome companions, but you need to seriously consider whether they are breeding material. No one likes to hear that their dogs aren't as perfect as they think they are, but honesty is the best policy when lives are involved. I get very frustrated by poor specimens continuing to be bred and creating more poor specimens. When you have genetically poor breeding stock, you can't get Westminster caliber puppies, it's a fact.
In all seriousness, cross bred dogs (your schnoodle) should not be bred. They are called an F1 generation hybrid... and it is not advisable that these dogs reproduce.
How old are your dogs, are they both over 2? Have they had their eyes cleared by a board certified ophthalmologist for genetic eye diseases (which both poodles and schnauzers have a lot of???), are they current on all their vaccinations and heartworm prevention? Have they had a recent (in the last 2-3 months) physical exam and fecal exam? If the answer to even one of these questions is NO, do not breed these dogs. This is serious.
Take them to your veterinarian and have a complete physical exam performed on both dogs. Tell your vet you would like to breed them and ask what is all entailed, and what the costs can be if things go badly (ie: C-sections). Are you financially prepared for this? Ask your vet for their opinion on whether these two dogs are even compatible (your male should be much smaller than your female) or if their conformation is acceptable for breeding.
Are you prepared to lose sleep and work if something happens to mom and she either dies, or has no milk, or WON'T care for the pups, or is very sick and CAN'T care for the pups? They need to be fed every 2 hours around the clock for the first 2-3 weeks. They can not go to the bathroom on their own so you will have to do that for them for the first 2-3 weeks. Are you prepared for this?
When you intentionally bring puppies into the world, you are obligated to be responsible for them for their entire life. If at any point in time during their life, their owner can no longer care for them for whatever reason, are you willing to take them back? Good breeders will ALWAYS answer yes to this question. If you don't care for the thought that 3 or 5 or 10 years down the road, you may need to take one of your pups back in for the remainder of it's life.... don't breed.
The "designer" (or "hybrid") breed craze that is going on right now is insane... tons of these dogs are "accidentally" produced and dying in shelters every year because no one sugar coats the fact that they are mixed breeds by giving them "cutsey" names and making them desireable. It is insane and inane.

Hummm..breading a schoodle and a schnauzer....after you roll them in breadcrumbs are you going to saute them?
I think what you want to do, is breed them and have puppies.
Since a schoodle is a poodle / schnauzer cross I guess you could be having a Schoodlenauzer. Or a Schn-schnoodle. Or maybe a Schnooodoodle.

Whoever started calling them schnoodles made up that name anyway, so you're free to call them whatever you like. Only pure bred dogs have regulated breed names.
Just don't name the individual dogs, because when they wind up in a shelter with the rest of the homeless overpopulated dogs and are euthanized, you might actually feel some regret that you bred mongrels so recklessly and without any regard to the population problem we already have.

What does it matter what you call them . They will still be mixed breeds. I don't think people want to be mean but it makes some of us mad that a person would actually produce mutts on purpose when there are shelters full of them put to death every day . What makes your shnoodles or whatever more deserving of a home than the other millions stuck in shelters. IF you saw what some of the others on here have , you would stop breeding them now. I know of girls on here that work for the Humane society and have to actually look these dogs in the eye and kill them , put them in trash bags and store them in huge freezers stacked to the ceiling with dogs, JUST LIKE YOURS. I would not ask questions about breeding mutts on this site . It won't be pretty. Anyway I hope your puppies find forever homes even though they just took away that many more chances for other dogs to be adopted. And you think what you call them matters!

You can call them whatever you like... but they will be mutts (and I'm not trying to be rude, so please don't take offence - I adore mutts and own mutts!).

Why not? As far as I know, that is what they are usually called.
Sounds cute.
