You can buy a dog, keep him or her outside everyday and night IF:
1) The dog has food and water
2) There is proper shelter

If a dog has a open garage it is considered shelter-
The dog has no interaction with people on a daily basis and becomes scared thus leading to barking all the time.
Why is this legal?
Dogs left to spend their entire lives in “solitary confinement,” trapped at the end of a chain, small pen, or backyard!
Harsh winters, cold rains & soaring heats that would leave humans dead without proper shelter.

Went to the park today, was having a very nice walk all of a sudden my male starts misbehaving(very unlike him) then I notice another man and his 2 dogs and he too was having trouble controling his dogs Out of nowhere a man and little boy about(7-8 yo)came walking down the trail with a female pit bull the little boy had the dog leash and had no control of the dog, the man just let him try and walk it,the pitbull was in heat!, why would this man take his female that is in heat to a park with other dogs? why would he even think a small boy could control it, not to mention the danger he was putting his son in by letting him walk this dog around all the male dogs. can someone really be that STUPID?
He had every male dog in the park excited, surprised there wasn't a major dog fight, even more surprised that no one was bitten. I just don't understand people sometimes....thats Why I love my dog so much....

My mom said something about purebred dogs' genes being too close (perhaps relative + relative), and mixed breeds having a chance of being more diverse and smarter. Is it true?

My dog barks and gets hostile with any sort of hand movements or gestures or anything like that, and he will run away from you if you approach him or call him. Never bit anyone though. He was a puppy pound dog (approx. 1 yr old) who ran away from home and is a beagle terrier mix and is on PCP i think!!!!!!!! Is there any way to reform his behavior? You also can't leave him near anything you want to keep alive LOL sooo crazy he'll chew anything and everything.

2) How long does heat last?

3) Does getting her fixed stop this?

4) Does she bleed at all?

5) Is there any external sign that she is in heat?

6) Are there mood swings?

7) Is there any other information I should know?

Thank you very much.

She corrects him when she catches him and she has tried spraying the stuff to stop chewing on her furniture, but nothing has helped. He has rawhide bones to chew, but he tore more stuffing out of the couch today. Do you have any suggestions other than putting him in a cage which he hates?

She seems to be a relatively young dog...shows no signs of aggression, loves being around my children. I'm still worried, I don't know what kind of upbringing she has had...she does have some wounds...which I can't figure out if they are from abuse or from being lost for some time. I REFUSE to take her to a shelter unless its an Animal Rescue Organization. I'm really on the fence here...not quite sure what I should do.. any ideas??

She also threw up twice today after eating some grass. Her nose has been running since after her surgery. It is a clear liquid.

Zach

Age: 18 months
Sex: Male (neutered)
Size: Large (80 lbs)
Coat: Rough, Classic Black & White
Activity Level: Active Companion

Zach is a very striking classic rough coated Border Collie mix. He is okay with female dogs, but has an alpha personality and does not do well with other males. He is housebroken and knows basic commands. Zach is affectionate and very bright and needs a family knowledgeable in dealing with intelligent, dominant dogs. He would make an excellent companion for an experienced owner.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Zach is neutered, , all immunizations are up to date, he is heartworm negative on preventative. He is being fostered near Richmond, Virginia.

I'm not experianced with border collies but im experianced with collies and shelties..

Do u think my parents will let me?
